Took my PTE Academic yesterday. Scored 90 / 90 / 90 / 90. For context, I went in wary of the Writing section, as it was where I'd lost points in my IELTS. Found Jay's tips to be super helpful. Short summary below: PTE Essay Structure Para 1: Introduction + Give background + Rewrite prompt + State argument (i.e., which 'side' you are taking) Para 2: Body - Part I + Introduce main idea + Additional information + Provide an example + Conclude paragraph Para 3: Body - Part II + Introduce main idea + Additional information + Provide an example + Conclude paragraph Para 4: Conclusion + Summarise main ideas (i.e., Para 2 and Para 3) + Strong end statement PTE Essay Planning IMPORTANT!!! However, online forums indicated that it is really hard to get an 8.0+ score in the IELTS Writing section (I got a 7.5 in Writing and 8.5 Overall on the IELTS test, for context) - and I agree with this after my experience.

I took the test yesterday and was surprised to get 90 across the board. Obviously it was easier for me being a native speaker, but I'd love to know the actual scoring process because I thought I'd failed the speaking part due to messing up on the describe image sections. The following tips worked for me: 1. Always write an outline It is important to have a sense of direction if you want to write a great essay. Think long and hard about the points you want to cover and write down an outline. Make sure you include an introduction, a chain of thought-out paragraphs that nudge the reader along towards an argument, and a conclusion in which you reiterate and summarize your points, and spell out your verdict. 2. Stay on the point Some questions are easier to answer than others and you might get tempted to take the easy way out. Don’t do it. People will easily recognize if you decide to dodge a particularly large bullet and just skim over it. Tackle the big issues, especially if you’ve been given a question to answer. Keep in mind that writing a brilliant essay that doesn’t answer the set question is an exercise in futility, especially if you’re a student and the essay is going to be graded. 3. Include both your research and your opinions Present an array of arguments and make sure that they are balanced. This will give you an opportunity to demonstrate your in-depth knowledge of the subject matter. It will also show that you took the time to get into the nitty-gritty of the problem by doing more than what was expected and researching the author and the set text in detail. After you’ve presented all sides of the issue, take a stand. Write down your own opinion of the issue and corroborate it with the evidence and the arguments you’ve presented previously in the text. 4. Proofread - and then proofread again Don’t turn your essay in without being completely certain it is free from grammar and style errors! A spell-checker alone won’t do because it will not catch every slip you’ve made while writing. If you still get stuck along the way, email [e-mail] and you will get excellent assignment writing

@@majganda Go through as many practices as you can. i used most of e2 language's youtube videos as my methods. Also familiarize yourself with the flow of the exam and formats (time needed for each section, word count etc). Also did a few mock test from this channel. they really helped me alot
