Hello. Can you tell me what exactly settings should I adopt at ptgui pro so that I have less work in postproduction. I first stitch the pictures and then I make small corrections in affinity and remove the tripod. I want the pictures to look natural and attractive. Do you have a template that you can use every time? Thanks

I am trying to straighten a panorama shot with a dual fisheye lens camera, qoocam 3 Ultra, but I-m not able to add control points... How can I do that?

Surprised there are no updated tutorials for PTGui Pro 12?

Is there a way to manipulate the seams in the "Non Pro" version? I have been testing the Trial but because is has all the PRO features I have noticed that seams change once you paint red/green in the images. Is there any toggle to make the trial behave as a non pro? So I can decide if works for me best regards

Hi Ramón, actually there are two trial versions, one for the standard version and one for the Pro version. See: ptgui.com/download.html Only the Pro versions allows you to manipulate the seams; in the standard version the seams will be placed in the middle of the overlap area.

Im a bit tight on money. Can I achieve the same results in Standard mode?

Yes, the leveling functionality shown in part 8 is included in the standard version. The panorama shown here uses viewpoint correction for the nadir (floor) image; viewpoint correction is a Pro feature. For detailed comparison please see ptgui.com/features.html

In my version i didnt have the menu for changing the control point type, so thank you for the tip on choosing the same image of both sides! In that case it creates vertical control points by default, and i can change them to horizontal by right clicking on the point. Thank you!

Great series - hope this isn't the last one - you have taken a long break. Do you have plans for PTGui or it already does everything you want it to?

So my question is why spend $244.00 on PTGUI vs Lightroom/Photoshop that gives me nearly 2 years of subscription with more options including a pretty good panorama stitcher?

In my experience Lightroom / Photoshop actually do a comparatively bad job of stitching. The edge lines may look nice, in perfect situations, but what about those times you were just a bit off when leveling the tripod, or the area you're shooting ONLY allows handheld? I've tried using both Photoshop and Lightroom for those situations, and as a result those panos have never been published. They always had portions that were skewed, or wouldn't level correctly, or wouldn't match up correctly. PTGui, however, makes it possible to not only stitch unusual circumstances, but often they still look normal even with less than perfect control points, and it takes HOURS less time to do to get the same result. Add in that when you buy PTGui, it's *yours*, so no worries about Adobe suddenly charging you a full year's subscription at once as penalty for cancelling (this happened to me), and PTGui is a clear winner to me. Bonus - PTGui customer support have always been absolutely stellar, going far beyond the standard to help. Good luck getting that from Adobe.
