PTL Club: Tammy Faye with Mickey Rooney

Tammy Faye hosts this special PTL Club (Jim Bakker Program) with Mickey Rooney and his wife Jan as her guests. Tammy sings "Somebody Touched Me" and "Face to Face (With Christ My Savior)". Jan Rooney also sings a special song with the PTL Singers. Doug Oldham and Uncle Henry are on set as well. This is from sometime in 1985. Enjoy!

I wrote to her back in the 80s and Iam so glad I did. Because she passed away later and she was devistated by the things that jim did. She said if anyone felt like writing to her that she would personally handwrite back to them. And she did. I will always treasure her gift of caring for others. ❤️

I was there in the audience that night at Heritage USA. This video brings back a lot of great memories of being a PTL partner, meeting Tammy Faye, and attending the workshops, praying and worshipping God in the Upper Room, and listening to sermons at the campground meetings.

Remember the Jim and Tammy Show ? They were part of the 700 club. i was 7 years when i first said the sinners prayer with Tammy. No matter what - i will always be grateful for her ministry - Forever !

What a bundle of energy she was - very interesting person and loving - so sad that her cancer returned but she's still an inspiration to so many people.

After the scandal Tammy easily could've hosted her own talk show like Oprah she has that thing, she's very eloquent and could definitely hold a conversation.

Tammy Faye was beautiful and sweet and loved the Lord Jesus!! I was honored to have worked with her on the documentary and get to know her. Her cancer was devastating 😢. Glad to see a new Documentary out, that will give her credit as a kind, loving women ❤

Amazing Interview!!!!! Saw this in 1985 just after I converted to Christ!!! Never forgot about Mickey & the Angel!!!! Tammy had such a heart for GOD .. & such an anointed voice I was ministered to by her in my early walk never will forget her! She is with Jesus Now! Thank you so much for posting.

I sure enjoyed watching this episode of PTL so much that it brought some tears to my eyes as to think that Tammy is now singing for our Lord along with Uncle Henry making her announcement in Heaven. And with Mickey Rooney being up in age and abused by his stepchildren in L.A. My, how times have changed within a few years. May God bless them and all of us. Amen.

I am so glad to have the privilege hearing Mickey's testimony. To think, I heard it after Mickey went home to be with his Lord & Savior. It blessed me.
