As a Gen 1 Type B owner I can attest to it having the most amazing recoil impulse you can get. It truly is a fantastic gun and I predict it will take the market by storm. PTR is killing it much like PSA. I’m really looking forward to the 63 hitting the shelves. And if they bring the Vent to market in inconel I’ll buy every caliber they make.

Roller delayed 5.56 is extremely under-appreciated. Mine shoots smoother than most ARs and Ive always wanted a more modern version. This can become a serious competitor in the Tactical 5.56 market if PTR wants it to.

Will standard HK handguards fit this gun? I want the more classic HK look. As someone with an HK33 pattern gun, I will admit I’d much prefer AR mags.

Same with me, only thing that stopped me was they put an untreated and unlined 4140 barrel on it when the milspec is a cold hammer forged chrome lined.

ITS ABOUT TIME. We had the cetme L and HK93 variants.. but an AR mag fed 33/93 variant is awesome. I’ll be picking one up for sure. Guy is spot on about us owning 5-10 AR’s and wanting something “different” but that uses the same mags. I’ll have to get their PtR32 (7.62x39) variant as well.

32 is awesome. A bit front heavy but there's so little recoil it kind of surprises you the first time you shoot it.

As Emperor of Oregon, I must say I am impressed. Really loved these guys quality. I even called them once and they got me connected to their engineers and they were able to get me the dimensions I needed right away. Just amazing. I'll need a few thousand for my forces.

I amnesty registered a PTR34 mid length, just being able to slap a stock on it is so nice. It’s a shame I won’t be able to with one of the 5.56 variants. Holy shit does it actually have the bolt hold open and release?? OH MY GOD THEY’RE BRINGING BACK THE ARCHON!! That makes me so happy, I managed to find a used one and I love it but because there’s no parts for it I don’t like to shoot it. What the hell are they bringing threaded barrels in too?!?? Dude this is just the best day ever I am so happy.

can the bolt hold open be disabled for the roller lock fans that prefer to hk slap their guns? like i understand why the BHO was added, but i'd say its fair to assume that most owners will not use the BHO specifically to slap it shut. also hoping there will be pistol variants at some point those would be neat.

I doubt you could deactivate it without removing parts.

The charging handle notch is farther back than the bolt hold open, so, you run a mag dry, your bolt will be locked open, but you still can lock the charging handle open manually as usual, and when a full mag, or a mag with at least 1 round is inserted, the bolt hold open will not activate, and you can slap away. I swear PTR needs to hire me just for clarafying their shit. The og g41, and mp5/10 work the same way. The BHO is just an added feature. Same thing on an ar, when your bolt locks open on an empty mag and you reload, you can either hit your bolt release, OR pull the charging handle all the way back this releasing the tension on the bolt catch. Still, we all were and still are wanting a 93 clone. Not this.

HK actually had prototype 93s that took AR mags back in the day. It was a NATO compliance thing. Love my actual 93

Buddy, you don’t get bored of AR’s? Ever play with a PTR rifle? They are dope. So now if you own a few ARs you can have a new flavor that uses the same mags. It’s a dope idea. Plus the recoil of these is super negligible.
