Barbara Rothbaum, PhD, an expert in the treatment of Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), describes its symptoms and the various treatments currently available. PTSD commonly affects war Veterans, but may also affect those who've experienced other traumatic events such as accidents, natural or man-made disasters, and abuse.
Rothbaum, a professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Emory University School of Medicine, has spent more than two decades studying PTSD prevention and treatment.
More information on Virtual Reality Therapy for combat-related PTSD is available at www.psychiatry.... and information on the BraveHeart: Welcome Back Veterans Southeast Initiative is available at www.BraveHeartV...

I just realized I have this from something that took place when I was 5. It's depressing because a slew of other things came of the first PTSD episode. Which were also almost getting killed PTSD re-lapes from being abandoned and tossed among a dangerous colorado CPS group-home system. Annd .... I feel like the realization is...... actually..... making it worse! I was better motivated before I knew it and could feel it inside me. Now I CAN physically feel it in my body, the alertness and drifting off. I also likend it to GOD flicking off the hyper arousal switch. Id say O...so THATS what it feels like to be "normal". All of the symptoms I have, insomnia, being able to wake upon the slightest sound, call or text to my environment. Always yelling at neighbors, not to knock so hard. People know depending on your knock, is if I will open the door. People have to call and state what the call is about. Don't tell me "we need to talk" over a answering machine. State, hey it's really nothing, but we need to talk. Staying up to the wee hours of the morning while feeling my research is more satisfying than my yawns. I surely have Complex PTS.. D? dis-order is questionable. The good thing is their have been many dangers I have avoided because of being super aware of everything most of my life, and maybe a few things that were not so, but I gauged them as, for relationships mostly. But it has made me aware to trauma and people being traumatized. This runs to all kinds of media lies, and medical ones. I'm always working on a way to make it better. Yet, I get no pay for what I do, because it is mostly intense focus one minute, and aloof processing the next. But it all has to be on MY timeline, and I think it is because my sexuality was not on my timeline. So I cannot stand people telling me what to do, where to go, or how to do it unless you have earned my trust though your birthdata and my experience with you first. Because I see that as abuse, and cannot take anymore. So people with PTSD- I pondered, are a sort of musical savant of the trauma world. When we say its out there. You better believe, most times It is.. We don't need evidence and have gained great intuition that gets backed up with facts later. So I am called taking everything to seriously and lazy by most because like, on my PTSD.com we all have a stress-cup and it can be filled pretty easily by mundane tasks that, someone without PTSD likes to get up and challenge themselves with. But little a little challenge is always enough for me, or so it seems, then I get disassociated from myself because my dreams are not being fully realized. And my mate is freaking out because Im becoming a financial risk. I LOOK like I can go, but my go will never be your go. SO do yourself a favor and stop pushing me. If I am working with the issues that surrounded my childhood and writing wrongs, I feel like my PTSD goes away. But its sad how all the puzzle pieces are so recently fitting together, the dreams that were never realized. The being satisfied with only getting my feet wet. It's sad many people called me lazy, I'm not lazy its just my 70 percent, is other peoples 100 percent, and when I try and do there 100 percent, which I can ( for a sprint ) im actually doing 120. But this is all rather dangerous, I can see, and a suicide risk even for someone without it. But people were really confused and mean to me, because I look strong, but I max out pretty quick. Now it makes sense why I wake up full of agenda, but by the time 1 or 2 pm rolls around. I call it me time and free time. But who is going to REALLY love me like this? Will my mate be ok with my 70 percent earning potential? It's really hard to figure out, but at least I have a name for it now. People still have no idea how this works, I get people trying to get me involved in so many things. But they don't realize I have this, which is why I end up never taking them up on any offers. Good for the times you could have been scammed or taken advantage of, but bad for the possible opportunity. Alls well that ends well I guess. I have seen the "past on repeat" in another vid, It seems illogical but I will give it a try. Maybe I will see a plant shaman, reki healer or any other healers that don't involve taking Rockafeller sponsored synthetics that come with nasty side effects.

I am a Correctional Officer in Melbourne and I went through PTSD, my claim was accepted by the insurance company after an investigation that lasted 28 days, received professional help that it was just a joke, I then took massive action and I started to research on my own, I dug deep into the human brain how it's been programmed, I started to understand why we think what we think and how to manage those thoughts and stress and take advantage on them. That happened early 2020 before COVID, and today, August 2020, after just a few months not even half year, i am having the time of live, I have allowed myself to learn from that experience with PTSD and also, I have started to help other brothers in blue who are struggling with the same nightmare as I was. I have become a coach out of my work hours, to Emergency and Law Enforcement Personnel because when I was dwelling on that dark place I couldn't find exactly what I needed so I became my counselor, my therapist my coach and I met other coaches around the world, sharing my story, being vulnerable and trying to break the culture of silence that exits among Law Enforcement Officers. My first step to get out of that situation was changing the way I was communicating to myself , understanding that we don't own what we think, we don't own what we feel, we are not feelings, emotions or thoughts, they come and go, we are above and beyond any emotions, feelings or thoughts. We tend to get attached to labels such as depression, stress, anxiety, etc those labels disempower people and is very easy to fall into those traps and make them mean everything, but that's the way we've been programmed to live in, I am seeing it every day with the Officers I am currently helping. We might be different in many aspects of life but at core.... We all the same, we all have the same basic needs, we all want to be good enough so we can be loved. I trust this little story of my life can inspire you or at least can make you see that we can overcome everything in life, sometimes we need someone to guide us, someone who's been there before. Post Traumatic Stress Disorder - when severe - it can be the most terrifying thing a person can come across , i was Workplace bullied in late 2008 an exposed to a very traumatic event because of the constant bullying, when i lost my job i couldn't think anymore , the traumatic experience kept on replaying in my head for 6 months straight i was smashing things and screaming at people.

Pesticides In the European Union, the use of pesticides is regulated and all EU Member States apply the same evaluation procedures and authorisation criteria in order to place a plant protection product on the market. EFSA’s task is to carry out the risk assessment for pesticides and to provide the European Commission with scientific support in decision making processes. In EFSA, the Pesticides Unit and the Panel on Plant Protection Products and their Residues (PPR) are responsible for the risk assessment of pesticides. They manage the different aspects related to the following scientific areas: Scientific advice on the risk assessment of pesticides, including the development of risk assessment methodologies. Peer review of the safety of all active substances used in plant protection products in the EU. Risk assessment in the framework of setting Maximum Residue Levels (MRLs), the permitted upper legal levels of pesticide residues in food and/or feed at the EU level. Preparation of the Annual Report on Pesticides Residues: Compilation and analysis of the monitoring information on pesticide residues generated in EU Member States (including some EFTA countries), assessment of the actual consumer exposure to pesticide residues and recommendations for future pesticide monitoring activities at the European level.
