"In my life?" Or "Am I?"? Haha
@PTXSheetMusic4 жыл бұрын
HAHA i was always so used to hearing it as "in my life" whenever i listened to live performances (I think that's what Genius said it was at the time), I didnt even stop to think when I was doing the transcription. SO obvious that it's "am I" now, oh well!

I thought they would be cheating with the bass. There is no way Matt can be hitting those low G#s and F#s.
@PTXSheetMusic4 жыл бұрын
Yeah, Matt is singing B2 C#3 G#2 F#2 the entire song, they're just adding an octavizer to beef it up. They've used one for basically every song since the beginning, it was just very upfront in this particular production. Still love Matt!
@Ptxlive4 жыл бұрын
Yes they are probably electronically done, but as a bass first thing in the morning or when he has a cold Matt would be able to reach lower that the A so it’s possible
@chrismartinez1444 жыл бұрын
Yeah they were moments even back when they had Avi where they were quite clearly using an octavizer. Examples that come to mind are Sing and Love Again.

@@Ptxlive, and he's even done Gs and F#s with growl in concerts. (Hopefully he starts using growl more, I think he might, it would really benefit him.) But yeah it's just an octavizer here.

@@chrismartinez144 I see an octavizer as cheating though. If you are going to add an octavizer what is the point to having a bass in a group. I would have been fine with him dropping the B1s and then just taking the G#1s and F#1s up an octave.
