Such a great old school wargaming concept.

This right here was the one thing I've not tried using yet because I wasn't sure how to correctly integrate it. I'll rewatch this a few times and give it a try.

Watch this one too: kzbin.info/www/bejne/iqOtfpuVYsSNlZI It's a little long, but it also shows using the Reserve Cards in a real game. It helps to get your mind around them. I put them on the card in the march order of how they will be when placed on the field.

Very helpful, thank you! One question: at 1:34, you say the French can’t see the Austrians along the road, but your measuring stick shows them at exactly the one-foot-move distance required to Spot. Is there a hill in the way or am I not understanding the spotting rule?

Hard to tell from the camera angle. Looking down at it as I was, I think it was more clear. Also, looking at the map now, there is a row of trees along the river there that blocks most of the view there also.

Surely when the chits are drawn and that corp moves the enemy could work out with corp is the main force, doesn’t that break the fog of war?

We keep the chits hidden. So we pull a chit, keep it pinched between your fingers so you can't read it. Just look at the edge color for ID and then give it to that player. After they move, you keep it face down. We also keep the HQs face down so you can't read them. Rotate them flag up after they alter roll. We also reassign the divisions around into different Corps. We need to do another video or blog on this! If you're careful, you can keep the enemy in the dark for a long time! Eventually, they will piece it together. Hopefully, that will be too late!
