Great discussion gentleman. As I watched this video multiple times, I tried to keep in my the point of confession, convicting, disciplining, repentance, and restoring. When I think of all of the examples that you included in this video, it reminded me that as a church, we all make up Christ’s body. -When we sin against Christ, it affects the entire body. -It’s important to see members of the body be convicted and disciplined because it shows us how Holy the body should be. -It is important to see members confess, repent, and be restored because it allows us to see that we all hold one another to God’s standard and that we are one and serious about obeying. No one person or persons in the body should feel that they are free from confession or discipline, or restoration. We don’t typically complain about have others restore us, but we are typically angry when others see us disciplined. I wonder how Peter felt when Paul called him out in front of others. We all know the work and importance of Peter in the scriptures. Let’s change our mindset when it comes to being open with those we call brothers and sisters. Let’s also not place the sole responsibility of calling out a person’s sin and restoring them to just those who serve in church leadership. “You who are spiritual” should not just be leaders. When Paul spoke to the Corinthians in chp 5 of the first letter, he was calling out the church for allowing the man to sin with his father’s wife. Even in Revelation when we read about the different churches, we see that the churches were called out, not just leaders. This thinking that only leaders have the spiritual ability to restore or to call out a person’s sin has kept the church on milk. The members are not growing spiritually because they are being treated like children(do as I say, not as I do). Each Christian should understand their role in the body and that they are held accountable to know and do what the scriptures say. Please keep the content coming brothers 🙌🏾🙏🏾❤️

Thanks Tam D. Yes, spiritual leaders doesn't just staffed ministers or appointed elders. That is a point we have made in many previous videos. In this video we address the specific question of if confession and restoration had to be made to those leadership positions in front of the entire congregation.
