Congratulations Jeremy on another nice deer. I believe you can hear when he broke his horn ! There was a loud whack a little after the shot !! I broke one side off of a big deer in Nebraska. He was crashing down a steep hill and I heard it when he hit a tree. There was a loud whack just like yours was. I found the broken half. It broke right above the brow tine. Taxidermist glued it back where you could never tell.

Happy to see someone with a platform and a following take this position on crossbow use. I am a compound user as my preferred method of take, but I just don’t get the heat that so many guys have for crossbow users. I can’t wrap my mind around getting worked up over what someone else uses to fill their tag. I’ll even grant them that it’s easier to shoot a crossbow accurately, but the fact remains that the most difficult parts of a hunt are all the steps taken to get one in front of you. Shooting is the last hurdle in otherwise identical race.

I've had to hunt with a crossbow the last few years. Messed up both of my arms and needed surgery on both. They are so much heavier than a compound to lug around. I'm looking forward to getting my compound back out though I think I'm going to have to reduce it to 55lbs which is plenty. Man I don't care what you hunt with as long as you are having a good time and being legal about it. I'll be there to shake your hand if it makes you happy. 👍👍

Congratulations! I still think crossbows should have there own season.In the Pennsylvania record books there considered in the same class as recurves which should be a class of there own.A flintlock should be in a different class as a rifle for the record book,etc.I can count at least 5 big bucks i would have killed with a crossbow if i would of had one but having a recurve i cant kill them.They shouldn't be in the sane class...I love watching your channel for 2 years now and will continue to watch it.Your strategy to hunt is not complicated but yet so effective for the average hunter you guys are awesome killers and will continue to watch your channel !!!!

Nothing wrong with crossbows. As a hunter I feel it doesn’t belong in archery season. It should have its own season. There is to much difference in skill and range for it to be considered. In Florida we’re allowed to bait and we were showing a new lease member stands and we have a rifle stand about 80-90 yards from a feeder. And he only hunted with a crossbow and mount on that stand were you wouldn’t even be close with a bow unless your one of those guys that hunt out west that shoots that range daily.

I think people bash crossbows for 2 reasons. 1: because they are used during compound bow season and they are greatly different weapons. 2: very few people just come out and say they like to crossbow hunt; it’s often an excuse as to why they use one. Of course some people need one, but many are perfectly capable of drawing a bow they just choose not to.

There should be a separate season for crossbows. Being able to hunt for 4+ months using something that shoots 80+ yards accurately, it's not the same to me. Unless there's a legitimate reason why you can't hunt with a compund or trad. That's how the laws used to be. You had to have a good reason . Anybody couldn't use them. Either you're too young or small to pull back a bow with the.minimum poundage, or you're too injured or you're older and can't pull back one anymore. Other than that, there should be a short seprate season for crossbows.
@richardbritt36117 ай бұрын
Crossbows have a HUGE advantage over compounds... a hunter can buy a new crossbow the day before the season opens, having never bowhunter before, sight it in, and hunt the next day with a decent chance of making a killing shot on an animal. A compound takes MUCH more prep time. And subsequently, for hunts to come, very little practice is required with a crossbow. Also, I am pretty sure MOST new archers would have a very difficult time hitting a bullseye at 40 yards with a compound bow. But not a crossbow with a rest. Crossbows SHOULD be allowed by physically impaired, and elderly hunters. But using them by perfectly capable hunters who just choose not to practice with a compound because they make choices that do not give them enough time to practice should not be allowed. Crossbows should have their own season where other bows are also allowed, like muzzleloader season...but not in the regular archery season.
