Public Land Mountain Buck in Virginia

I am from SWVA and this is exactly what our area is like. Not tons of public land in the far corner of the state where I am. So, I am thankful for private land access! That being said, I cut my teeth from a young age hunting Bath Co in the Allegheny Mountains, but sadly that area has been pressured A TON since the late 60's through the 90's and the deer population just isn't what it used to be. I still go back every few years for nostalgia sake. Deer are all over VA, and we in SWVA are blessed to have some really nice deer. Keep up the good work. And always remember, you cant kill em from the couch. Put in the work.

Thanks!!! VA Code 29.1-530.1 B (ii) allows you to display 100 square inches of blaze orange at shoulder level within reach of the body as long as its visible from 360. He keeps his vest clipped to his hiking pole stuck in the ground beside him. Vest is seen in last photo at the end of the video.

Where are some recommended public hunting places in va ? I've always hunted private land but no longer have access.. I got my national forest license but Don't know where to go need some help

Recommend contacting your local Conservation Officer who can shed some light on National Forest and WMA lands in your area.
