I have the same problem . I often find my abdomen pulled in when I speak . That really ruins my stutter .

1) Breathing through diaphragm: its the area between your chest and belly button. Pretend there is a balloon there, so when you breathe that area should expand 2) Speaking through diaphragm: once you fill your diaphragm, exhale slowy and begin speaking. You basically are speaking and exhaling at the same time. The more airflow there is within your words, the less you will stutter

One thing that I noticed is I would talk much faster when breathing through chest. (Small breaths while talking etc) which hindered me. One tip I learned is slow the frick down when talking, it is more powerful, more interesting, louder and just smoother.

@@explodev2550 Give a presentation in the mirror, and practice your breathing. Practice makes perfect, it has to be committed to muscle memory if you never did this before.

Matt B For sure. I do breathing exercises before hand and that even helped so much. I always thought it was my nervousness, but it’s simple breathing correctly.

Our voice is a powerful thing, one of the greatest gifts we've received. Thanks for describing the mechanics of how sound is produced. Every good and perfect gift comes from the Father of Lights (ultimately). The best gift ever given to mankind is the Living Word Which became flesh and died so that we might have everlasting life. His Word gives us power to live a righteous life. Blessings

It takes me a bit long time to breath from diaphragm. Especially while I'm talking in public I need like 2 sec break and that interrupts the talking... Do you have any advice for fast breathing from diaphragm? Thanks.

MadawacKO Same. lt takes breathing excersizes I guess. I'm practicing it myself to make my voice less muffled and nasally but I know my diaphram will grow in power and it will be easier to use!

I have a weak voice, I sound like a 8 year old boy crossed with Donald Duck and Goofy. But I'm actually a female adult... Your video really helps, I noticed my voice transformed from a dorky loser to someone I actually want to talk to.

nose, if you breathe through your mouth it dries out you throut and ruins the fluidity of the voice

You don't fill up your diaphragm, it's a muscle. Your diaphragm moves up and down to create more room for air in your lungs.
