I think it has to do with anxiety too, I don't know why but I noticed I don't breath properly while I'm speaking English, which isn't my mother tongue. So I assume my anxiety when speaking a forgein language might affect my breathing too besides the fact that I don't know how to control breathing.

As a decent singer but HORRIBLE speaker, my mind is blown. I only recently realized I don’t breathe normally unless I’m asleep or paying attention to my breath. It took many years to correct that issue in my singing, and it never dawned on me that speaking requires the same amount of breath support. Great video.

@@plautus-jc8be tbh I totally forgot about this video. But it always helps to be aware of breathing, especially when doing something that relies on breathing. I think about the part at 1:55 a lot, even though I forgot where I had heard it. I haven't gotten much better, but any little bit helps.

I have found that sports like running or swimming help. as well as breathing meditations, they help you learn how to control your breath. Of course, it sounds a lot easier than it is. It could be that you simply need to relax a little when speaking. So talk to yourself positively in your mind, if you find yourself feeling anxious or nervous. Don't be afraid of taking pauses to catch yourself. It's all practice.
