We'll arrive at Fiumicino airport and our hotel is near Termini. Will we be able to buy one of those 72 hour metro tickets at the airport? Is there a train from the airport to Termini? Or do we need to go by bus or something? Also, do those 72 hour tickets cover bus, train and tram? Any help appreciated.

Yes There are trains from the airport to Rome And you can purchase the various ticket there also

I've got a question. If you are taking both the metro and a bus to get to your destination, and it's within 100 minutes, can you use the same ticket for both, or do you need to buy a separate ticket for each?

What about having used a credit card on the train and then getting on a bus within the 100 minute limit? Also if challenged by an inspector how do you prove you paid if you used a credit card?

Ideally you purchase a ticket ( at any metro / tabaccheria) before your journey

Yes. You can buy your tickets and use in advance. When you stamp it, it validates it ..

I have a question. Do the bus,metro, and tram systems run as one in Italy? Meaning that if i buy one of the 24 hour Metro tickets in Naples and use it there, will i also be able to use that same 24 hour ticket in Rome? Or is Rome metro tickets only valid in Rome? 😭😭😭😭

You can tap your credit card when you take the metro. You need a ticket instead on the bus

American express doesn't work, and your card needs to be enabled for wireless payments

Alternatively you can download the Dropticket app. You can validate their ticket over there, buy parking etc

Great video, question on using a bus/train ticket…once purchased and activated on the first entry to a bus, is that your card activated or do you have to do it on every bus trip?

Don’t take bus, it is 99% crowded and you never have a chance to stamp your ticket, you might face to spectator’s checking , and they will give you a fine of €54 even you have no chance to stamp your ticket
