Also I’d rather live in the hood than to live in a depressing ass suburb where all the houses are the same and I can’t even safely take a walk because the streets are way too wide and you can’t cross the street safely and there are no sidewalks. @@lukashradecky5492 Singapore isn't "culturally diverse"... It consists mostly off of one single ethnic group which are mono zygotic, just like Asians in Japan and Koreans in korea, there is little variation and mutations between Japanese with other Japanese, Koreans with Koreans, etc. Which also explains to why they look more similar to each other. It isn't some subconscious cognitive bias they actually do look more similar to each other. They're the country with one of the highest average IQ which also explains their low crime rates and cooperation, along their relatedness with each other. I could even say they are even less culturally diverse because of their openness to eugenic and immigration programs. So they're actually even better in public transportation and are the least diverse. Wether that is due to what I said, and or the fact it's a small country, or whatever else.

@@AllenIverson-to5uy it's called diesel. Also, the point I was making is that the carbon emissions per passenger in a bus are way less than those in cars.
@TakenWasTakenYT4 ай бұрын
@@Simqer I was talking about the vehicle itself, although for a bus to be 'green' it would require people to ride it who would otherwise use cars, but the people who ride the bus would just walk or ride a bike, because they don't have cars, buses are also inconvenient because they don't come on the dime and they don't stop exactly where you need to be

this is why I'm glad here in Oklahoma there is no traffic and you can just drive anywhere you want. Don't get injured though the closest hospital is like 30 minutes away.

The problem is that cities in the Americas are almost completely unwalkable. It can't be fixed cause the cities were built rapidly. It's like trying to fix forced Industrialization. The best that can happen is cities that are mostly walkable with good public transport and cars working together

It's not about public transport. It's always about some dumb mfers. If you're on the bus, train whatever, the one thing that can get you are the other passengers. But yeah these examples be wilding. I'd refuse public transport as well if it were like that here.

Where I live, you don't even need a car since public transport is literally faster than going places with a car. And It has older folks instead of crack smokers.

When the train got to the next station two guards kicked him out

I'm one of those public transportation advocates but damn I did not know it was this bad in the US. I'm from sweden and the public transportation here is great but this shit is wild i understand why you guys love cars do much Edit: nvm people are just fucked up all over the world i guess, seems like Sweden is the exception
@thespanishinquisition40784 ай бұрын
Nah it ain't the exception. When he claims he heard from "people in europe" it's probably serbia. EU and EFTA public transport's normal, japan's and UK's issues are minor. Hell even iberoamerica's issues are minor. Only place with these issues is north america and the 3rd world. So this is a law enforcement issue.

notice his complaints are about bad community / society than public transportation itself. things like that should have been policed, and people with problems should have been prevented on becoming one or rehabilitated. but some country are rather lax in tackling these issues, or even ignore if it came from certain community. Is it any surprise that it ruins public space and in turn public transportation too? You dont get these problems in civilized location.

When I was a preteen I rode the people mover in Detroit after 8PM during an anime convention. For the most part, it was other convention goers riding, but at one point we got this guy who was definitely on Something that night. At first I was scared, but honestly, it was a hilarious experience. The guy started explaining to us "the TRUE founding of Detroit", which supposedly involved bears laying eggs that they made into bear mayonnaise. It was wild. And then, literally a day later, I was riding the people mover during the day and a pothead blew smoke in my face for existing in front of him 😅

I'm from Toronto Canada and worked for public transportation and now retired. The first 9 years was tough getting use to how rude and impolite people can be and they hold no punches. The rest of it knowing retirement was on its way. I became numb and picked work more along the lines of rush hour or what we called a late relief finishing no later than 1 30 am and it was a specific route called Progress and that route was less than 40 minutes in one direction from the station into the neighborhoods for people that finished work and just wanted to go home. The rush hour route was Finch east, and the majority of my passengers were Asian or Indian and they were very, very polite. I never picked rachet routes because it had rachet people, lol! That train stabbing was done by a guy who was mentally unstable and lost his marbles. For the guys and girls that are interested in public transportation in Toronto. .....Just be prepared for a verbal beating and at times physical and help Never arrives on time. So my advice to you my fellow rookie is shut your mouth. Let them ride for free if they choose. The emergency button is just a nice red decoration button and you will have a great day!! Plus the pay is well above average and you are provided with every piece of clothing minus underwear lol! Oh ya it's unionized

The subway provides them with a safe space to sleep: 1. It’s enclosed. 2. Warmer since it’s not out in the elements. 3. They can sleep off the ground since the seats are one long flat seat. 4. There are many people around so you don’t have to worry about being attacked in your sleep unless there are other fellow crackheads like you. 5. Society can not avoid you while there, so you get to feel normal again.
