Fucking delete Mind Spike, Makes the spec so much more clunky than it needs to be, and mind flay is cool and unique to SPriest. Whereas Spike feels no different than me casting Wrath on a boomie, or Lightning Bolt on a Shaman or.....you get the picture.

I much prefer playing with Mind Spike, but I wish it was a perfectly optional choice to simply chose between the two, rather than a meta depending situation.

Blizzard destroyed our spec because too many instant casts they said, and look at boomy, look at ele, look at fire mage, they don't cast shit, arcane hast shit ton of mobility...

I assumed Archon would let you go into some sort of enhanced Shadow Form and and enhanced Holy form temporarily which would have been cool to be able to swap forms depending on what the team needs or what boss it is.

They desperately need to update Dark Ascension. It has a cast time even though it functions much like Rogue's instant Symbols of Death and the animation is just a vibrating png of black wings and an early 2000s purple glow effect.

I was somewhat hoping for a cool visual like the Starcraft 2 archons. Maybe golden for holy and purple for shadow.

Halo is nice and all but yeah super weird that its built around that and not our CDs with the flavor text it has. It could be built around apotheosis for holy priest so theres something analogous for them

Yeah i think its okay at best, but i think most of that is the base spec still is fun but definitely one of the more dull hero talents.

I'm going to play Voidform, and if I have to play DA to be competitive, I'm either going to play another class instead (mage looks to be cooking) or (more likely) not at all. Voidpriest is my class fantasy since Legion.

Maybe something like Manifest power now makes surge of insantity / surge of light increase halos damage / healing instead of mind spike / flash heal for arcons? would need to rethink the right side of the tree with that though since you would need to replace the two talents below Manifest power.

I dont know why they didnt just give archon a special animation for power infusion lol. Like if were getting beefier PI then make it LOOK beefier. Or add a special effect to us during the halo pulse casts

While this video is very interesting and somewhat useful, when trying to put your point across, try to avoid words like "I feel" instead provide some data. You don't see things in repair guides say "I feel if you turn this bolt enough it will hold" a lot of times it will provide torque specs. Heck there are even Torq specs on each bolt.

Honestly, Archon looks pretty good as far as the hero talent trees and what we have as options for other classes. I still won't ever forgive the devs for not at least trying to make Dark Ascension and Spirit of Redemption cooler. So much wasted potential with the tree! Overall this is so much better than it could be. Won't count it as a win, but still excited to play it as Holy for next expac and Voidweaver for Shadow.

Sorry if I came across that way, included the positives for a reason. I think Archon is fine but could be much better with some changes. Voidweaver I find really fun!
