Great work man, love the videos. I watched pedantic's videos as well when I was designing my 4-link and watts setup. Those braces you put on the front of your axle brackets are exactly like what I used on the back of mine where I put my lower shock tabs.

I wish I was willing to cut the body up more to get the four link where it needed to be. Really tho with just the coils and no airride it won’t be traveling near the distance that a bag would have. I think it will be good

Great video being stuck at home I appreciate a long video lol. Also almost went through the same notch issue! I I peices my flip kit together with "heavy duty off road" parts and would have had 3 inches of clearance without the weight of my bed. Ended going full 6 inch and I'm still on factory leafs lol

Wow a lot of work for springs vs coilovers. I must say you do nice work. Wouldn't it be easier to set up your 4 bar, panhard bar and springs before you do your floor.

It would of been. At the time of doing the first c notch and and floor I was planning on just running the factory leaf springs and not going as low as i did.

Glad to see the video. One thought - I understand how you came to the compressed length of your spring (“don’t do this at home, kids”), but the load or weight you used to find it probably isn’t accurate. The truck doesn’t have an interior, wiring, a floor, or passengers in it. I’m afraid you are going to be way undersprung. Coil overs are much easier to deal with by comparison and they save a lot of room. There is also a wide variety of springs available in various rates for them. Just my 0.02.

There was an extra few hundred pounds in the back when that was test. That was also no shocks. The way it was built I can add a spacer to lift if need be but it will definitely be low enough.
