Puddle Lights Retrofit BMW F30/31 - Entry Light/Under Door Light

In this video I will demonstrate how to install puddle lights for the BMW F30/31/32 F20/21/22
Puddle Lights are part of the Light Package which is standard in US, but optional in EU.
This project requires coding.
You will need to code 763 option (Light package)

Sick vid, tried this on my F20 and it works good and doesn’t require coding since it works perfectly off the footwell lights. Two mistakes to avoid from this, just remember to crimp male instead of female pins those were typo’d in the vid parts: 2:21 & 5:56

Puddle lights go in pin 52... No need to tap into the wire of the footwells.

Hi, i have coded in 563 and 7ac for ambient lighting, but when i try to code in 763 for puddle lights it says incomplete fa. Do u know how i can fix that?

Hello, on the video the image is not very clear, can you please tell me what FEM do you have ( low, mid or high ), i have mid and i don`t know if the retrofit will work, i don`t have door lights or footwell lights on the car. Also if you have a link on aliexpress or a P/N for the 4 pin connectors it will be great. thanks.

Hi. I have ZB10_High. I don't have a PN for the 4-Pin connectors, just go on the AliExpress and search for: "BMW 4 Pin connector" and you will find it very easy.

Hi Ace, thanks for the vids. Is there any way that I can have my rear door puddle light act like my front seat footwell light (white/orange/blue). Or is there enough space in the door wire harnesses tube for cable going through?

Hi, Just in the process of doing various lighting retrofits to my f21, where did you source the 4 pin plugs from for the lamps? I need a few 4 pin, 3 pin and round 2 pin connectors.

Hi. I source those pins from junk yards from any BMW or MINI vehicle. But you can get them from BMW or AliExpress

Thanks. With Footwell Light retrofit, I can only help you with a wiring diagram. My car came pre-equipped with footwell light. Here is the link with wiring diagram image: i.imgur.com/zUXoCXg.jpg It's a 4-Pin connector. Pin 1: Ground (Connect it anywhere in the car to any brown wire) Pin 2: Footwell Light - Connect to FEM: A173*9B = Pin 54 Pin 3: Ambient Light (Red Light) - Connect to FEM: A173*9B = Pin 51 Pin 4: Ambient Light (White Light) - Connect to FEM: A173*9B = Pin 50 You will need to code 763 option, once coded, you can retrofit full light package, no need to each time code 763, once is enough.

Bro, is it possible to retrofit heated seats? I want to buy leather heated seats for me f30 but don't have the button on the climate control.

It is possible, but it's very costly and time consuming. Beside heated seats, you also need new climate control unit (with heated seats button). New wiring harnes and coding skils.

@@Acelele320 Sorry to bother you again but I would like to retrofit the lci radio trim that lights up, but because I don't the light package as standard there isn't a small LED that I can tap into to connect the lci radio trim to. Any advice would be appreciated.
