Dear Puddles, I too am very sad and weary with tears in my eyes. I would often listen to you here on You Tube and my wife would hear you and say " You are listening to your clown again" and come closer to hear you by my side. She preferred the early Beatles songs of our youth , for the good memories they brought back to us but your singing was always special to both of us. I am still listening to you often and want to Thank You for sharing your voice with the world, My beloved wife died on the day you posted this song and it has taken me a little more than a year for me to thank you for giving me the memory of us listening to you together. One uncle who was a fire Chief. I grew up around hospitals and have nothing but the most profound respect for the men and women who spend their lives trying to save ours. I worry and pray for my family in the front lines right now, and this song made me cry, thinking of not only them, but all those effected by this crisis we are in. Puddles, this song was a beautiful tribute to these warriors who are fighting for us. The song choice was perfect, your rendition was moving. Thank you for this. You are a good man.

Oh, Puddles, my dear unmet friend, you have a heart the size of Alaska, and a soul to match. Your eyes reflect the truth of your emotion, and you have knocked this one out of the ballpark. I was so proud of you for hitting the mark so squarely when you recorded "What a Wonderful World" for Parkland, and again with "If I Can Dream"; that "Please" at the end just slays me every time I listen/watch the video. The world, always a rather tumbled up ball of insanity with handfuls of people, here and there, putting themselves on the line for the sake of others, of strangers. My cousin, here in Seattle, is a doctor on the front lines, and we, her family and friends, are frightened for her, concerned about her health as she works long grueling hours . . . , and she is only one out there, fighting the good fight, amongst so many. Thank you, Puddles, for putting on the makeup and suit and recording a tribute to them. All we can do for them is care for them, get a hot meal in them and get them to bed for a brief bit of rest before they are out again doing everything they can to save as many lives as they can; you are able to gift them, and their families and friends, a moment of hope, a tribute, an acknowledgment of their sacrifices and a toast to the good cheer they are somehow able to maintain during this chaos. You are a beautiful soul, dear clown, and you are much loved for all the love you are putting out into the world, in the manner which only you are able to accomplish. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. ❤️

@Bob Bobbertson i think you're missing the point of those videos. Those nurses and doctors who are doing those videos are usually doing them on Their down time or break time. A 2 or 3 minute tik tok video isn't going to impact much in the way of caing for patients. And those "empty hospitals" are in areas where either the virus didn't hit or there is a very low number. Hospitals aren't always brimming with patients especially in more rural areas.

Stay healthy in this time of plague and chaos. We need you. I'm an expat American who's lived in Japan for the past 35 years - marrying a local will do that. It's so hard keeping up with the smaller things going on in the US and I just 'discovered' you by chance about a month ago. So much to catch up on. I'm a special kind of frontline worker. At the Library we don't discriminate between sick people and those who are healthy. Recently a man came in with his service dog in a cart. The dog was whimpering and we asked if we could help. He was crying. His dog had been hit by a car and he had just a little money. Why am I crying now. It took Puddles to remind me how small I am in the tragedy of life. And how the dog and the man (his companion) clung to life. Sometimes a little compassion can ease the pain of a lost loved one. Don't tell me clerks are not caring people They see some of the worse cases as they take there last ride to the grocery store or check out a book and we never see them again. Praise the underserved workers they have done a great job keeping things rolling during the pandemic.

We all know how much the front line workers deserve the biggest thank yous we can give.. But the song also reminded me of another group who deserves a big thank you and they do so much for us and we rarely give them the credit sue for the roles they play in our lives. Mostly because they have no voice of their own .. I am talking about our service animals and those who serve to emotional support services and other areas. I was sitting here relaying many of Puddles songs tonight and came across this one ..I must of listened to it a good half a dozen to dozen times in the past.. I have a service dog..and she is more than that to me..she is more than a faithful friend amd a emotional support system. She is just about 7 in just a couple of weeks.. i have had her since she was 4 months old.. she is the only one who has been by my side in the roughest and darkest of times all these years.. faithful and full of love and always accepting..no judgement ..no rules or guidelines or expectations.. just love.. It is why I spoil her so..she deserves every bit of it. We need a nice tribute song similar to this to say thank you to our pets and service and support animals Puddles...what do you think?? Got any ideas in store for us.?

Tired, exhausted and burning out due to the current situation. As a first responder, listening to this beautiful rendition gives me a little bit of joy that people appreciate our sacrifices. Thank you so much, Puddles!!!

Thanks for the kind thoughts. As a Tasmanian nurse we have had it easy so far. But find myself shedding tears for my sisters and brothers around the world who are burning out. This simple act of acknowledgement goes a very long way. Lots of love mate.

Oh wow! This was more than I thought it was going to be. Thank you for this beautiful dedication to all the workers in the Frontline in this horrendous plague. So beautiful. I just shared it with my mom who is a retired nurse. My dad is also a retired nurse. He's watching a Marvel show and I will show this to him later. My sister is a nurse but she's sleeping right now. She has to. She works 12 hour shifts three times a week and then is off for three days to relax up. I'm going to show this to her later tonight when she wakes up. I'm also sharing this every where. A beautiful girl who I used to babysit with her sister just graduated from nursing school. They sent her right to the pulmonary floor. She's a lot like me personality wise. We both have high anxiety. She's stronger than me though. I stopped out my second year of nursing school. It was too much for me. I pray for her every day. Thank you so much for this Puddles. I've never met someone with such love for all humanity like you. God Bless you and please stay safe. ❤️🙏🏻

Paul Simon has composed a lot of great music over the years, but this is one of his best pieces of work, and Art Garfunkel was the perfect voice to bring it out. This guy sings well, and he did a decent job covering it. Certainly better than many of the other covers I heard.

You need to hear So Hyang here on KZbin sing this song. I am 100% convinced that Simon and Garfunkel should have paid that girl for having sung this song.

And Puddles nails another hard one. And he makes it sound easy -- and --- AWESOME! Thanks, Puddles, you the man! Gads, I know a lady you should sing with. It would be heaven on Earth, in Spades.

Better and more moving then the original when applied to the video. Shows the true American Spirit. Thank you, Puddles.
