Tbh my theory/headcanon as the reason Hitomi is Oktavia’s familiars in this timeline is because Sayaka didn’t really care for Hitomi as a friend and in her final moments, regretted her decisions and wished to be a better friend to Hitomi instead of Madoka in the current timeline (which was the final tick to her witch transformation). To prove my point a little, the wheels crushing some of the Hitomis could represent Sayaka’s (in that timeline) carelessness of Hitomi. I’ve also noticed her familiars are placed right at the front of the stage waiting to be knocked over, so they could be a type of mocking familiars as well. Making Oktavia watch them get crushed.

That is not it. She wanted to get Kyoko out of there, so they left. And Madoka appeared so she just told them what happened.

In my humble opinion, perhaps Homura knew Kyoko always takes care of Sayaka and still have hope for her, believing in the story that 'courage and love triumphs.' According to the game Portable, obviously Homura could beat the witch in any timeline, but in the current timeline she chose to give a chance to Kyoko to do what she want to do... or Homura would unintentionally deny the good will of Kyoko, ending up making Kyoko be witch. I found that the relationship between Homura and Kyoko in current timeline could be interesting (and more clearly, humane). Homura told Kyoko about her time manipulation power directly to save the 'comrade' magical girl who is confused in Oktavia's labyrinth. Homura was shocked when she find bloody Kyoko and then tried to save her if possible. After the death of Kyoko, Homura was anguished at home and desperately asked QB if there could be any meaning of her death. To sum up, in this timeline, it looks like Homura rarely showed herself as 'cruel' only to Kyoko. Therefore, the reason why Homura didn't kill the witch right away would be that she didn't want to be cruel to Kyoko. And I think Oktavia is relatively weak, because magical girls usually defeats her quite easily (for example, Kyoko in the manga named "The Different Story"). Kyoko in the current timeline just waited for Sayaka's return, passively defending herself and Madoka at the risk of her own life. But she failed. Eventually Kyoko cried out in despair, cutting the witch's arm off. That means Oktavia is basically not that strong enough to threaten Kyoko, once she makes up her mind.

Sayaka had no notion of knowing Homura had time related magic. Which comfirms you *must* be in contact with Homura before she stops time to be able to move when time is frozen. So back to the question. Why didn't Homura move madoka? She had gotten pretty good with firearms. At this point, it's much easier to shoot than to try and haul or throw or push Madoka out the way.

First of all, Urobuchi has confirmed that the reason Oktavia’s design is different is that in that timeline, Kyoske was a guitar player rather than a violin player. How? Homura’s timelines shouldn’t have things change unless it was influenced by Homura, the one thing that behaves differently, since all the timelines start from one point. And Kyosuke must’ve played the guitar/violin for years before the reset occurs. Also, why is Kyoko here? The fact that Mami is dead and there’s only a weak newbie left in Mitakihara is what gets her to show up in our current timeline. Why is she here at the same time as Mami? Kyoko befriended Sayaka because Sayaka held her own against Kyoko in a fight. How could they have fought if Mami was present?

None None I know this is a late replay, I hope you will see this anyway. Not everything is the same everytime Homura changes the timeline. At the beginning Madoka was already a magical girl while in the latest ones she wasn't. In some timelines Sayaka doesn't become a magical nor Kyoko comes to the city. Not every difference is caused by Homura's choices. It's like Homura is travelling in different universes and, altrough the people are the same, they can differ. So, here Kyosuke plays the guitar insted of the violin, perhaps here Hitomi didn't give Sayaka the twenty-four hours to confess to Kyosuke (this can be the reason why Oktavia's familiars are similar to Hitomi and the witch herself kills the mercylessly) and perhaps Kyoko was in Mitakihara at the time because in Kazamino there weren't a lot of witches or because - like in Rebellion - she wanted to help Mami here or something else. I hope I explained well enough, I'm not so good at English :)

Annabeth Γranger Cthulhu is a fictional monster that destroys worlds. That’s why I said Homura would be Cthulhu. She isn’t necessarily ensuring the appearance of Kriemlid Gretchen, but her time loops are what made Madoka strong. In the second timeline, we get to see Kriemlid Gretchen, and it’s just a tiny black fart instead of the giant monster it becomes in later timelines. If Homura hadn’t turned back time, Madoka’s witch would only kill a few people before someone defeated it. Even if Kriemlid Gretchen only appeared in the two timelines where we saw it appear, it would still mean that Homura accidentally destroyed at least one version of Earth.
