Let’s make a Pastelón! Perfect for Thanksgiving, Noche Buena, or a potluck!
Picadillo Ingredients:
•1lbs ground meat (turkey or beef)
•Olive oil
•Pimientos and olives
•2tbsp sofrito
•1/4 cup tomato sauce
•1 beef boullion
•1 packet Goya Sazón
•Adobo to taste
•1/2 tsp oregano
•1/2 tsp garlic powder
•black pepper to taste
Pastelón/Piñón
1 8x8 pan
•4-6 plantains, either 4 large or 6 medium
•1 egg (or egg white, beaten)
•8oz (or more to liking) white cheddar cheese, or cheese of choice.
