I remember watching this episode when it aired in 1980 at the age of 6, and I didnt understand it then. When I watched this episode as an adult (around 10 years ago, while I was parent going through a divorce), it was heart breaking. This episode actually put me on a guilt trip. RIP Burgess Meredith
