[Puget Sound Fire] Engine 74, Ladder 74 & Tri-Med Ambulance Responding!

Captured here is the Puget Sound Regional Fire Authority at their fire station 74 (PSRFA headquarters) in the city of Kent, Washington. Puget Sound Fire provides services to the citizens of Covington, Kent, Maple Valley, SeaTac, King County Fire District #37, and King County Fire District #43. Puget Sound Fire covers 108.81 square miles and protects a population of over 226,815.
At station 74 I was given a very warm welcome together with my friend @Firescue112 and we were able to record Engine 74 responding to two seperate emergency callouts. The firefighters even invited us for a ride in Ladder 74 to demonstrate how a tiller ladder is steered and operates. You can also see a short clip of a Tri-Med Ambulance, which serves the Puget Sound region, responding in Kent.

Fun to watch. i was your tractor driver that day. I sit in the right seat now. I miss the tiller. Seatac and Kent merged several years ago. the engine is considered a reserve. The new Enforcers are in service throughout the department.

SeaTac. Kent and Maple Valley are all one Dept. (PSRFA) Des Moines and Federal Way joined up and formed South King

They didn’t always. At first it was an official merger between Kent Fire Department and King County Fire District 37 and became known as the Kent Regional Fire Authority in 2010. Seatac joined in 2014 through contract. In 2017 the name was changed to Puget Sound Regional Fire Authority. In 2018 Maple Valley Fire joined through contract. In 2023 Tukwila Fire joined through contract.
