Thank you! I think that for 6 people cars are a good option. You will be more flexible and can go directly to the destination you want. Also there are some places where public transport doesn't go. But keep in mind that people in southern Italy are crazy drivers so don't forget to buy good insurance :)

Hello, did you take bus from Bari to Alberobello?

Hello! Yes, we did. Last year the train connection wasn't available, so the bus was the only option. It was fast and convenient, it took us about an hour to get to Alberobello from Bari Centrale by that bus.

@@HIIAMMEOW You're welcome! Yes, we buy the tickets there, about two days before the planned trip, in a shop directly near the bus station. Buses depart from Via Giuseppe Capruzzi and they sell tickets in shops there. They clearly mark outside a shop that they sell tickets to Alberobello. We bought just one-way ticket, because after Alberobello we went to Locorotondo and came back to Bari from that place, buying tickets at the station there before departure.

Hello, i am travelling to Bari this month and i have exactly only 3 days. Do you think I can do first day Bari half day and the afternoon Alberobello, then second day Polignano a mare in the morning and in the afternoon Monopoli and third day Matera? Do you think this is possible and a good plan or not recommended one?

Hello! I think it is absolutely possible, but it will be quite a busy trip. Will you have a car or will you depend on public transport? If you want to go by bus to Alberobello, you have to check well the timetable and bear in mind that sometimes buses come late or are full. Half a day there is enough, as well as in Bari if you want to focus only on the Old Town and its surroundings. Polignano and Monopoli can be done in one day, as we did - it's a perfect choice. And Matera for the last day is also a good option. Have a great time in Puglia! :)
