5:28 The ending was wholesome, but now that I think about it, they could’ve done it a little bit differently. Rather than have that intensifying shot of them staring at each other for a few minutes, they could still do that, but it doesn’t go on for as long. As it should’ve Then they start apologising to each other, much like how they did in ‘New Student Starfish’ SpongeBob for being jealous, micromanaging (Being a backseat driver), trying to put a damper on Patrick’s luck and destroying Patrick’s licence and Patrick for being a snide show off, as that’s what made him jealous in the first place, walking him up at 3am and then again at 4am for no reason, other then to brag and “rub his licence in SpongeBob’s face”, both figuratively and later literally, embarrassing SpongeBob in front of his parents, before saying that he understands if SpongeBob doesn’t want to be his buddy ever again, only for SpongeBob to forgive him, they shake hands and SpongeBob gives Patrick the bumper plate, but Patrick says he gave up the boat, because he realised how big-headed and self absorbed he had gotten and that it stopped working, before they ride off to Goofy Goofers, for some “Make-Up” sundaes

In a way, I suppose. They both involve Patrick and Boating School, but I think the execution was a lot different, as were Patrick's motivations. But they do have some similarities.
