Yeah, Vinushka (God of nature) "dying" and Logic (the machine God) "rising" is a really cool parallel, highlighting how humanity is leaving archaic habits behind and moving toward an era of more critical thinking, where nature/religion give way to industrialization/rationality.

Fear and hunger Veteran here! Loved the video and your breakdown of it!^^ One strange thing I will notetate to add to the lore of Marriages, its possible canon or at least implied that all marriages need to be, in some form or another Consensual in order to happen, though the concept of "Consent" is seemingly rather vague, as completely sub servant things like ghouls can create marriages, and this would have... interesting implications for how the fuck a guard CONVINCED a cavewolf to get down with it.. This also is another reason why Father Hugo's other sprite was likely scrapped, both due to its more disturbing concept once read into, and the idea that a Child and Adult marriage simply.. can't happen, as the even the gods look down upon the idea of such acts

The Heartless One isn't the one behind the books of enlightenment. As you said, she uses light magic, and wields one of the two swords forged for the True King of Mahabre, which the games lead you to believe is the Sun God. The game also states that the sun god is the god of enlightenment.

The game doesn't really outright state that the Sun God is the God of Enlightwnment directly, if anything the games never says 'Sun God' in general. It is intentionally well hidden. But yeah, there are some very heavily implications of it, most notably in how the Amon sigil is in the Book of Enlightenment and how there exists a City of the Sun, Amon, in Abysonnia. And ofc the 1st line of the Skin Bible of rher heavily implies the existence of a Sun God.

Something which this video doesn't seem to cover is the unknown god sigils in the museum clock, which have the datamined names Amon, Turkil and Sarko. Interestingly enough, there is actually a lot of concrete information with Amon, given the god sigil's clear appearance not only in the Heartless One's Curse of Light spell, but in the Book of Enlightenment itself, as well as the fact that there exists a City of the Sun, Amon, in Abyssonia in O'saa's intro. Shadowtheaxolotl's video about Amon proposes this god to be the Sun God. As for Turkil, we really don't have much at all, apart from the fact that the Termina Pocketcat books has a beetleman called Turkilo which dates back to the creator's Tumblr, and how there seems to be an IRL beetle called turkkilo (the finnish name for the nicrophorus investigator, which is interesting since the creator is Finnish). The god sigil also looks like a beetle as well, with the 4 segments, so there's that. And for Sarko, there is surprisingly good evidence towards the idea of a Star God, which has horse mask c*ltists (you can find horse mask in the museum along with the bunny, wolf and owl masks so we know for a fact that such do exist somewhere), connecting it to the person in the white mold apartments with the Pegasus constellation, carefully positioned telescope and a horsehead statue. And the Sarko sigil does look like a star to some degree. This sigil has also been used by the Black Witch in the 1st game, also appearing in the Necronomicon. I actually made a redd1t post about it, in collaboration with many people in the Funger d1scord.

A very nice video. Re the final point, of course you are aware that this isn't what "every copy is personalized" implies. If you play some random game that allows for movement in thousands of positions (eg a strategy game, like AOE), you won't ever get the same exact progression (not even in your own units, due to enemies appearing; let alone for everything in the game). Yet it would be irrational to state that therefore every copy of (say) AOE is personalized. Fun note: you can easily give the (fake) impression that each copy is personalized, if you go into the trouble to include enough triggers that change things; virtually no one would bother to check for upwards of 1000 different states, but you can have 1000 different states with a very small number of triggers (for example, 30 triggers set as 10x10x10 or 20 triggers set as 2x2x2x2x2x2x2x2x2x2).
