I already knew all of these, but here's an extra secret! In the first floor entrance to the Dungeons, there's a bunch of hidden rooms you can only get to with Explosive Vials. One of them has an extra bookcase, and a bed, which can be very useful so close to the exit. There's also always a storage room in the entrance with a bunch of crates and a guaranteed Blue Vial! 💖

1:45 if you try to use the priest robes on the dark priests in the dream sequence of the tower of the endless, they will be able to give you a free empty scroll! The other one just gives you opium tho

I like the atmosphere of the first game, but it's just way to heavy for me. I played termina and still was scared shitless. I remember losing nights of sleep when i first saw fear and hunger, now i'm here, enjoying the story and the secrets without playing cuz i'm a wuss.

@@MautheDoog All of the secrets have been found by those dedicated enough to sub to your Patreon (such as my zealous self) but, that being said, it's still fun to hear you talk about it and be like "Okay, Challenge be accepted! I bet I know all the secrets!" Only to find out 1 new thing.

@@MautheDoog There's a ton of spaghetti code gamebreaks that people don't know. Ma'habre skip, specific cheese with phase step, certain tiles used for testing the game (outside the first 2 in the spawn and the one in ma'habre), tiles that trigger certain events (like miasma party kill, crow mauler despawn triggers, assassin spectre spawn, etc) but they're not really intended secrets, more so remnants of code that the players were never intended to find in the first place. Occasional streams and videos of Frapollo and all bones jones do show them but i don't think the majority of people know about them.

I dont think the year on tbe grave is their actual year of death, in the example you showed d'arce is born in 1566 and dies in 1590 which would make her 24 , 24 however is most likely d'arces CURRENT age as she looks fairly young, " well she prkbably canonically dies in the dungeon " well no! she couldnt have persished in the dungeon becahse Termina confirms that Le'garde was rescued and ascended to the yellow king ( Ending C ) , considering that Termina also confirms Enki and Ragnavaldrs S endings respectively and Cahara most likely got the A ending ( by process of elimination ) this would mean that the person who rescued Le'garde couldnt have been any other than D'arce and she most likely chose to kneel to him as a god considering he's still alive by Termina and since Le'garde always teleports you out of the dungeon ( even if you chose to kill him dtrangely enough ) D'arce 100% survived her treck through the dungeon so the year of death on her tombstone couldnt have been true Tl;dr : the black witch is just fucking with the player

I only wish to comment so I can brag. Got Rag S ending in 2 days of playing on hard mode. Got some insane luck with empty scrolls, got 7 of them. 5 went to souls, 2 to Necromancy and Phase step. The rest flowed smoothly. And that's about it for me and hard mode. I'm a savescummer, I like and want good loot, I also don't main anyone else but Rag, so no reason to further torture myself.

This is a joke video right? The true reward is getting the girl to the end. And girl isn't half bad as a teammate, between dagger, that you can curse, useful items which could be a waste of turn otherwise and teach her decent skills. Honestly fear and hunger is the only game since dark souls that made me actually curious what else awaits me. From some disturbing game overs to secrets like miasma, penance armor (both caused my first save file reload, penance just made me feel bad for putting it on) and blue sin, overpowered eastern sword if you can kill the specter, cursing weapons. I mean the difference between cursed blue sin or cursed crude sword or whatever it's called and their regular counter part is huge. The failed marriage you can find in a thicket had me leave it and come back thinking what the actual fck?!? And I was wandering where my buddies went after saving Jeana or what's her face. Real gem of a game. The itch for this kind of experience isn't getting scratched any time soon. So keep up the good work. I will be watching and remembering all the "good times"

the person holding Miasma needs to have low mind, and the scene will trigger at specific locations throughout the game. Afaik only Darce, Enki, Rag, and Cahara can trigger it
