The first page I ever randomly flipped to in my Finnish grammar book to had 9,876 (yhdeksäntuhatta kahdeksansataa seitsemänkymmentä kuusi) and I was like ok let's just see how to count to ten. Maybe. 😂 This video makes it so much easier. Loved the quiz!!!

Years are usually counted as kirjakieli demands, that would be tuhatyhdeksänsataakaksikymmentä

Good, now only 27 more number-case forms to figure out :D And when Finnish numerals decline, every component in them declines, like "yhdeksästätuhannestaseitsemästäsadastaviidestäkymmenestä eurosta". There are also "super-puhe" forms (yy, kaa, koo, nee, ...). I think you've mentioned them in one of your videos.

Yikes! But yes, luckily the yy, kaa, koo, nee ... is only used when you are counting something. You won't hear it when talking about prices or numbers in general

Yes "tonni" means the same as "tuhat" but I don't think it's used that often. "Tuhat" is much more commonly used.

tonni is used more for weight or volume measurements, tuhat is more common in straight up numerals.

I hope you could help me with this one, do you have a video explaining when to use ”sinut” and ”sinua” ? I googled the difference of them as accusative (sinut) and partitive (sinua) but i still interchange. Could you ellaborate more on this one or at least give more examples? Because i think this is useful for me and some other new health care workers here in finland whenever we say something to patients. For example, i always say laitetaan sinua (instead of sinut) hyvää asentoon. And kaipaan sinut (instead of sinua)…
