You are so smart to head back in and not over doing in this insane heat . Especially if no one is around. Continue to stay safe. You are more important than the flowers even though we love them sometimes it's just not worth it. 🤗💓💕💞

Amanda, I'm so glad you're giving vinca another chance! Your color selections are so charming, and I bet they will thrive very happily in this new ideal location! They really love heat and not too much water. Your raised beds will drain perfectly for them. 19:31 19:31 We are cleaning up after Berle in Houston. Power still is out in our area, but thank the Lord we have a generator! I always love watching your videos, and you always teach me something new in every one of them! 💗💗

Ugh I’m sorry your power is still out! My family in that area has a generator which has helped them so much … they’ve lived there for 30 years so it seems like they are pros with this scary weather.

Stay safe and cool out there. You know I live in NY and that hurricane aftermath came right across the country today with lots of tornadoes, rain and winds. We do not have tornadoes here. It was pretty scary. I love vincas. I hope putting them in the raised beds makes they grow beautifully.

I planted the tigers eye this year at the first of the season. They ended up just a few inches tall. 😆 I have no idea why? They were planted spaced out and given plenty of water. Maybe too much water in all the rain we got. I’m in Flower Mound.

Everyday I spend some time weeding. It is not my favorite thing to do because there will be more weeding tomorrow. I am in coastal southeastern NC. The 80% humidity makes 82 feel like 91. 80% humidity is very oppressive, and there is no cool down at night. I can only be out working in my garden for about 3 hours. I have no interest in giving myself a heat stroke. You take care of yourself.
