grafted 20 on Sunday and checked them yesterday, 12 took. pretty good for my first time grafting and setting up my first cell builder. I am on your wait list, hoping you have plenty to get down to me. Would love to introduce your VHS traits into our NC area.

I just subscribed to your you tube channel and I am a backyard bee keeper in Tennessee near Knoxville. I seen a video that Bruce bees was showing some virgin queens he got from you and I am wondering what kind or kinds of bees you have?

They’re my own line of VSH selected bees I call Missouri Mite Hunters. They’re mostly Italianish.

Great job Cory Have you thought about selling nucs in the future?
@stevensbeeco767 Жыл бұрын
I have sold quite a few over the years. I’m hoarding them now since I’m expanding to go full time. I may sell more open mated nucs and II breeder nucs in the future.

I’m looking at getting one of those foxhound bee jackets. What size are you wearing in the videos? And how do you like it?
@stevensbeeco767 Жыл бұрын
Mine is a medium. I like it a lot. (The color, the zip open veil to get a drink, the Velcro adjustable cuffs) My only request is they would add a Velcro flap on the billow pockets. When I bend over to pick up stuff, the contents often bails.
@RoundRockFarm Жыл бұрын
@@stevensbeeco767 Thanks for the response. The sizing chart is saying I’m a large but I wear XL tshirts. Your medium looks pretty roomy so a large may work for me.

Hey how can I go about getting some of your Queens
@jhookfishing4978 Жыл бұрын
Hey Cory was wondering when you add your second round of grafts do you add a frame of larva a day before to get the nurse bees to be able to produce royal jelly again or is it not a concern?
@stevensbeeco767 Жыл бұрын
I don’t add any brood. There’s new nurse bees emerging for the next three weeks, and after that I retire them and split them with a queen cell or virgin.

Any secret to reusing JZBZ cups.
@stevensbeeco767 Жыл бұрын
I don’t reuse them. Some do, but the small sampling I did, the take wasn’t as high for some reason. Even if I have one miss and don’t have a $25 dollar virgin queen to sell, I can buy a lot of cups for that. Not worth the effort or labor to clean in my humble opinion.
