I have had one for 16 years and love it. Never any problems.

Mine has been great. Kept it even when I bought a ton longbed.

PB Blaster works even better! When I’m not pulling a trailer I put a ratchet strap around it and keep it pulled to the stop to keep it from going back and forth when I’m driving. You could probably use a bungee cord too.

Great video. I have the same hitch. Seems like a really good hitch but does make some noise. Have you disconnected at greater than 10 degrees? Want to find a video of someone connecting or disconnecting at greater than the specified 10 degrees.
@ShaneBurrell16 жыл бұрын
Disconnecting at greater than 10 degrees doesn't work. I recommend always hitching dead on because you could damage the hitch really easy if it kicks around which it normally does if you try to hitch at 10 degrees or more.

Shane Burrell Agree, and thanks for the reply. Supposedly there is a way to do it in case of emergency? According to the manual, anyway. I believe it is to pull the two pins and lift entire head unit off with the camper? Just haven't done it yet. 99% of campsites allow straight on connection but there's always that one I want to be prepared for.
@ShaneBurrell16 жыл бұрын
I've practiced the emergency head removal. It works but its less normal disconnect and more of a vertical lift using the trailer jacks to clear the tabs. Not something you would want to do everyday but its pretty easy.

The release arm got bent toward the tailgate and won't release. The pins on either side have been pulled so the truck is detached but how to disconnect hitch from trailer
@ShaneBurrell13 жыл бұрын
You will need to get to the lock release lever. Be very careful if the head is just in the air. Take a look at page 8 on the manual below. It shows a diagram of the lock lever. www.pullrite.com/sites/default/files/2700-2900-2300%20Owners%20Manual.pdf

does the hitch work with a anti-chucking rotoflex hitch?
@ShaneBurrell13 жыл бұрын
It depends on the combo. You will need a pull rite plate made for the rotoflex. Here are some examples. amzn.to/33Pkfst amzn.to/3ltPfnQ

I just bought the 2700 model 20k and apparently your unable to use a lock on this one. I just don’t understand why a company would make this without the lock option. I even called Pullrite and they said nope.

the 2900? I've not seen a 2700 20k.

ya well I actually work mine no toys . pull t190 and e 26 . the hardware and wimpy springs failed looks like . but yes nearly impossible At angle .

Robert Harris Which version did you have? I just got the 20k rated model for toy hauler. I am also curious how you’re towing a t190 on a 5th? I have a t190 and an e42 that I’ve always pulled on a conventional hitch tilt trailer.
@robh66386 жыл бұрын
wait until the first time your trailer gets permanently stuck to your truck and you have to torch the locking mechanism
@ShaneBurrell16 жыл бұрын
The locking mechanism is similar to most other hitches. I've unhitched it hundreds of times and never had an issue. Just be sure your straight (Special for this hitch) and that there is no tension pulling on the kingpin (All hitches) and it'll unhitch every time.
@mikeg15934 жыл бұрын
@@ShaneBurrell1 This will be my third season with the Pulirite. I have had some trouble unhitching (not able to pull the latch), but a fellow camper gave me the lowdown on it. If you're unable to release the pin, lock your trailer breaks, put it in reverse, load up the hitch in reverse, and have someone pull the lever. It works every time.
@ShaneBurrell14 жыл бұрын
@@mikeg1593 Yeah it doesn't like any force in truck forward direction. I've got in a habit of just releasing the pressure on the latch at every unhitch after I've scotched the trailer.

Thanks for the vid but the title is deceiving. Lots of good info but I didn't see any adjustments being made
@ShaneBurrell17 жыл бұрын
I did the tightening at approx 03:43. I didn't get actual footage of using a socket and torque wrench since I couldn't hold camera and tighten at the same time. It's pretty simple. If you have any specific questions on adjusting that bump stop please ask. I could video the next time I adjust at the end of Feb but really its just that one adjustment shown in this video minus the turning of the wrench.

Shane Burrell I had questions on how to get to the locking nut when it's tight.
@ShaneBurrell17 жыл бұрын
For the pivot stop I use a thru hole ratchet set. Is that the nut you are talking about?

incredibly dangerous trailer hitch it's going to rip off during a full load
@ShaneBurrell16 жыл бұрын
I haven't had any issues with the hitch and I've had it a while now. Still intact.

The most dangerous part is the loose nut behind the steering wheel. I’ve had mine for 14 years and towed 10’s of thousands of miles with no hitch failures.

JD field by God if I could send you a f****** picture on this I would the piece of s*** Springs came loose inside the hitch locking the mechanism on to my truck luckily the Super Glide must have been made for this cuz it has to easy pins with Cotter keys I just took the pins out and raise my Jacks till it came off the truck at that point with a screwdriver I was able to easily coach the Hitch off my trailer in fact maybe I'll even make my own KZbin video showing all the fake fad followers and weekend haulers how dangerous these hitches really are or you can bring your ass down here I'll SWAT your ass with my fifth wheel we call it the Dreadnaught
