The "spicy bite is short term" and is easily adjusted by more cooking time and/or more resting time. When leftover, it can also be cooled, refrigerated, then left out the next day to achieve room temp. Even when comsumed then, with a bit of tomato sauce mixed in, and without any or minimal reheating, it is still awesome but minus the "fire".

I love udon noodles, I won’t add that dry packet with the green stuff though , I think it has seaweed, gona make soup stinky. Soup looks great , I’m getting this

@@TheTinyReviewer yep. Try adding frozen shrimp it or poach 2 eggs or both. Today I added some cut up flap meat. I add it towards the end with additional cooking time of course.
