As a huge fan of Pulp for almost a full quarter century, I keep coming back to this performance. Not only has this been one of my favourite tracks since that long, but I absolute love that "bitey" sound that Candida's got going on her keyboards. Whoever did the sound mixing here did a rather respectable job overall.

His lyrics are amazing. He really paints a picture with his words, their songs are like mini-stories. Being in the States they weren't that big and the first thing I saw was their video for Common People late at night on MTV and I was blown away. I used to sit there and wait for the video to come back on lol. I went out and bought Different Class and the whole album was great....then This Is Hardcore came out and was EVEN BETTER. I went back and bought their old stuff and while it wasn't as good had some great stuff in it. They're still one of my all time favorite bands. Meanwhile if you mention them to most people in the States they've never heard of them.

This is their early stuff just when they were starting to get recognition, it's their best work I reckon before they got too commercialized 'I mean look at Jarvis here, there's no dyed hair or expensive designer clothes?

I just heard the Separations album and I'm amazed, this is incredible. This song sounds a good 15 years ahead of it's time, like something that LCD Soundsystem would have done on their first album.

Only discovered this track and immediately started to listen to all of pupls stuff. The one thing that strikes me is they are great musicians and i definately rate them very highly great band. Sounds like an Art band if that makes sense. Love their stuff it has been haunting me for the last while. Refreshing and solid sound.

They should have rereleased their "dancey" stuff in the naughties. Tracks like this one or "Live On" would have resonated really well with the indiedisco crowd!

Wow the difference here between and the album version is incredible... The guitar here, especially in the chorus, is a standout for me.

Re-listening to 'Separations' and was like, gotta find a live version. Jesus this cooks. They throttled down on the electro and jammed. Legends. Thnx for supplying to YT!

The NTSC/PAL artefacts date this video much more than the sound. It's nearly 32 years old, as I'm writing this.

Is that the earliest Pulp footage out there or is there something earlier? I recall something about Jarvis performing in a wheelchair back in the day...

Adalberto Belgardo he ended up wheelchair/barrow bound for a while in the 80s because he fell out a window
