As with all Soma stuff, there are a lot of hidden depths - and a strong call to creativity . Also, live experimentation is deeply rewarding with these instruments. Go Soma! Love u guys!

Vlad Kreimer The description of the looper bank changes was the most confusing. It is a strange , new way of sequencing for me. Seeing you demonstrate the looper in depth works better for me than just reading about it. I’ve mostly used the clock dividers (with various modulations) and external MIDI to sequence the triggers

Is there a way to clear all the recorded drums in the looper completely? And or if you want to start a new fresh bank and you have something recorded could you say while the looper on bank BD is running clear SD bank? Thank you. So far I have been able to only clear by recording over each drum sound individually...To make it simple i am asking about an “erase all” function.

Vlad baby, mine is already paid for and I'm waiting for it on it's way to me. I have a ton of questions , such as can you send an LFO from something like the matrix brute LFO out and use it to control in pulsar? and also what does the "out" do on each channel? is it just sending cv or actual sound? or both?and can you use all 4 voiced/channels to make a 4 Osc mono synth out of it? it looks like it can be simultaneously synced, but can you make all channels respond to a midi keyboard? that will be the shit if you can.
@somasynths
@somasynths 3 жыл бұрын
Yes, you can control Pulsar by external CV (LFO etc). OUT is the actual sound. Yes you can use the 4 channels to make 4 osc synth. You can trig all channels via MIDI but only bass recognize midi pitch.
@InFamousProductions
@InFamousProductions 3 жыл бұрын
@@somasynths thanks for answering my questions. I can already guess what Pulsar -69 will be like hahah. I realize that the more it will do = the more it will cost, and also that the Lyra will do all the "traditional" synth sounds. I'm always interested in what the limits are of any piece of equipment is. I have a feeling that someone will hack the Pulsar -23 and make it do more. I am not that technical, but I have been watching all your vids and others , and have a few wish lists for it, but I also know you are making equipment to do those other things. after watching the looper and clock vid, I realize that very complex rhythms can be made, especially from external cv .

Hello Vlad, I have a question about using external triggers: I am sequencing the Pulsar BD from the eurorack sequencers. I am unable to get the full velocity. The attack is very quiet, maybe at medium or low level. Do you have suggestions? Do I need to amplify the trigger or gate before sending to pulsar? Is there a way to do this without external amplifiers?

Hi, Vlad. Am I right to assume that, when copying a pattern to a different bank, Bank 2 implicitly listens to the pattern in Bank 1, Bank 3 listens to the pattern in Bank 2, and Bank 4 listens to bank 3 ?

I am sequencing via midi and I’m assuming this is also sending a clock, however the clock divider is not using incoming midi clock. As I understand it this is by design but is there a way to connect the midi clock to sync the divider or does it require a further clock source via cv.
