PULSE by Dawner Prince • Review for Gilmour and Pink Floyd sound

Here is the review of the brand new PULSE by Dawner Prince Electronic. The pedal promises to sound like the "Doppolas" rotating speakers used by David Gilmour during the Division Bell Tour (PULSE Album) and the R0-1 Maestro Rover used during The Division Bell recording. It is different somehow from the RT20, which is closer to a leslie but good anyway. This "PULSE" gives more moviment to your sound, it seems to be more natural.

Very nice. Well done, you really have come a long way. Congrats. This pedal is crazy expensive in Australia so unfortunately I'll continue to use a Mooer E-Lady and an MXR Phase 95, sometimes adding a CE-2 for these live/90s DG modulation tones. Probably the least interesting PF stuff, at least for me, was during the 80s & 90s.. PF in the 70s is where my head is at. Great work as always. You nailed "Sorrow".

Outstanding playing and phrasing 10/10. You play so well. What settings are you using on the nova delay? Or what would you recommend? I really like it but I’m finding it’s either too little or too much, even with the mix set low at around 10-12. Thanks 👍

Grande Francesco! Veramente ottimo! Questo pedale è proprio come mi aspettavo, niente a che vedere con la (ormai obsoleta, tra l'altro, tecnologia CMOS di) RT-20. Molto più rispettosa del suono in ingresso, non stravolge l'EQ e, come l'hai impostata tu va ad aggiungere un chorus molto piacevole, che accompagna il suono dry. Ora che ho un setup che permette registrazioni stereo penso che valga la pena provarlo, sicuramente nel corso del 2021...

@@gilmourtheory interessante...va bè dai il rumore è un tocco di autenticità! 😉 I più pignoli possono mettere un noise gate dopo il rotary per eliminare quel rumore!

@@gilmourtheory da quanto dici mi sembra simile a quello che fa il Vibe. Penso sia normale. Infatti ho scritto "dopo il rotary" come posizione del noise gate, perché non penso dipenda da cosa entra nel pedale, ma è proprio il pedale stesso. Comunque va bè, abituato al vibe, non mi fa desistere dal comprarlo 😁 A proposito grazie per la tua demo perché è stata una conferma!

I know it’s been two years but the Keeley dark side gives you a good taste of pretty much everything that gilmour was using at their peak. I’d say that’s the best all in one pedal to start with
