Greatest band in the world. Greatest concert ever. Other live performances from this concert? All of them. Seriously. But if you want to pick out the ones you have already heard on studio recordings: They perform The Dark Side of The Moon in it's entirety...Speak To Me/Breathe, On The Run, Time, The Great Gig In The Sky, Money, Us and Them, Any Colour You Like, Brain Damage/Eclipse. Then there's Wish You Were Here, Another Brick in the Wall pt2, and Run Like Hell Not sure how far you have got past The Wall yet, so I'll leave it there....Enjoying your reactions and keep going on down the rabbit hole! Happy listening!

Saw this experience 5 times indoors and outdoors. Outdoor laser were unbelievable, even needed FAA clearance. 200,000 watts of power, 128 wireless speakers, 200 ton stage being move by 53 semi, 3 stages at different times being moved. In 1994 Greg Phillinganes ( Micheal Jackson music director saw this and quoted saying "They are on a different level". Greg played keys on Gilmour's last solo tour.

I saw this concert twice, on May 23 and 24, 1994, Montreal Olympic Stadium. My employer (Labatt Breweries of Canada) was the sponsor for the three shows in Montreal, they were offering employees discounted tickets, in addition to a draw of a few dozen tickets. I bought mine for May 23 and I won those (a pair) for May 24. Some people have asked me, "Why are you going to see this show twice?" When they finally saw the DVD of this show a few years later, they understood why I was there twice.

@@ianfortier5534 Get real. The Pulse concert isn't a book that you have to read in consecutive chapters in order for you to get the ending. He just did the concert opener, so why not do the finale as a great contrast? Later, he can do everything in between. Rules don't apply when enjoying Pink Floyd.

Pink Floyd is so different!! One of the things that makes them different is during any of their concerts they always allow their "backup singers and musicians" to have their own time on the front of the stage in front of everybody!! There are no egos in this version of Pink Floyd!!!!
@RushfanUK2 ай бұрын
They're no guitarists of the stature of Gilmour who would allow the 2nd guitarist to take solo's especially on Another Brick In The Wall P2 and Learning to fly when Tim plays solo's, it's a measure of Gilmour's lack of ego or comfort with his place in life and the pleasure he takes in working with others.

Since you are a sax player I think you would enjoy Pink Floyd’s “Us and Them”. It uses the sax as the lead instrument in place of guitar. And when getting to the live version, go with the “Delicate Sound of Thunder” tour with Scott Page on sax. He absolutely kills it and owns the spotlight!

I hate to tell you this, but.....since I'm already "screw-you'd" 🤣 I'll just go ahead and let the cat out of the bag....PULSE was even better than it looks. Pink Floyd put speakers around the perimeter of the venue, so sounds could come at you out of the darkness from anywhere - above you, behind you, or from across the venue. Also, it can be difficult to tell, but the entire night, the lights were always active, and always synced tightly to the music. They were almost another performer. It's been said that this was the first computer-controlled lighting system performance, and I believe it. As for suggestions, I'll give you one you won't often hear - "One Of These Days". It gives a better idea of what it was like to be there, to have those LIGHTS! assaulting you all night. It was a truly legendary show, and a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Pink Floyd brought their own reality, and for three hours they let us visit them there.

Since you're a Sax player, there may be videos of their "Momentary Lapse of Reason" Tour. The Sax player was someone else. Money, Dogs of War, and maybe Great Gig in the Sky, and Us and Them songs show brief interludes of the Sax player. There are a couple PF cover bands that tour constantly, one is Brit Floyd, and the other is Wish You Were Here, both are superb in the reproduction of sounds, and videos, and both put out a pretty decent light show. Good luck at school.

Why does it sound so good? One of the Singers said, the Band are like a bunch of "Forensic Financial Analysts" every tiny little detail is looked at and considered to make sure the audience gets a show... However we can all see they did run out of budget by the time they got to Dave Gilmours clothing allowance! 😂😂😂
