Also, Zeus is hardly primitive. Greek civilization was pretty much the pinnacle of human achievement for thousands of years after they'd passed their peak. I prefer the Darkseid that slaps Superman around like a chump, but this isn't bad. It wouldn't make sense for him to jump through the portal.
