Ran my first run yesterday since before knee surgery over a month ago. Only 1k, but gotta start easy. Waking up to DGR videos got me on the bike and into pool everyday over the last month so my fitness is high. I'm coming back.

It’s great to have an insight into multiple brands thanks to you not committing to being endorsed by one company. Much appreciated Seth! I’ll have to give Puma some attention in 2022

The most underrated running tool has definitely got to be resistance bands. I use them to activate my legs before runs, to do hip strengthening after runs, even arms sometimes too, and they're crazy cheep, compared to gym equipment. Overall a fantastic tool that helps with hip/mobility strength which is the second most important thing (besides actual running) for a runner.

I agree totally. I add that to my daily routine with another inexpensive tool that is also highly effective and that is a stretching strap with loops. If done right, its good for stretching out your hamstring, your quadriceps, and if properly executed strengthen your lower back muscles. Also the big exercise balls inexpensive as well will increase your core strength and balance.

Thank you for this review!!! I love the Puma lineup, but am just now needing to learn about stability shoe options, and there are not many Eternity shoe reviews out there! Rambling Runner sent me your way for this. Thanks!!!!!!

The most underrated running tool is drinking enough water every day.

QD: Superfeet insoles. They have different arch supports even a carbon insole. I feel like it puts my feet in the right position so I can wear neutral running shoes.

QD: most underrated product.... (especially for quality runs over ten miles) the gels and nutrition you take during the run. "Mastering the GU" helps maximize the enjoyment of the long run. A close second place- the protein shakes afterwards. Keep working hard!

QoD: Most underrated running products are my bear bell and bear spray I know carry with me when I am out on a long mountain run. As I have gotten more and more into running in the mountains I have gotten fitter and am able to go farther. While I have yet to encounter a bear whil out for a run on the trails, there have been some spots where I start to feel a bit nervous at every little sound I hear off to the edge of the trail in the trees. So I bought a bear bell and some bear spray that I now carry with me whenever I am off exploring. The bell is light and small and easily attaches to the back of my hydration pack. It comes with a small magnet to silence the bell when I don't want it clanging, like getting in and out of the car. But as I run, the gentle yet loud constant sound of the bell alerts any nearby wildlife of my presence before we come unsuspectingly face-to-face around that hidden corner. The bear spray is easily accessible in the back of my running vest so if I need it, I can quickly reach back and grab it. Both have made my mountain runs that much more enjoyable because my mind is more at ease that I will be less likely to have any unwanted encounters with the wildlife in our area. On another note. NOT TURNING THE DORRKNOB TODAY! Sorry Seth. Your encouragement usually helps but it is -26 celsius here today with a windchill making it feel -36 celsius. There are limits. I have found mine. All the best during this holiday season.

QOD: a good pair of underwear. Let’s face it we can’t always go for a run commando, so having a great pair of go to running underwear is key!
