Puma Fast-R Nitro Elite Review - Best Marathon Shoe?

See for me this shoe is fire 🔥 Smashed three minutes of a 6k tempo run, ok been a while since my last but still. It just made me want to go fast, I might be fine over a marathon, I'll need to break it in more but like you say half marathon is where it's happy. Which suits me fine, as any further has me doing ultras as I dislike the monotony of a full road marathon. And yes I have the Pro 3, guess which I prefer 😉

Call me crazy, but I think the Sketchers GOrun Razor 3 hyper in the black/silver/yellow with the word SPEED across the side was one of the coolest looking shoes in a retro way. Also the Razor 3 black/white prototypes that some reviewers got in the zebra stripes where the stripes extended onto the midsole sidewalls. Sketchers ruined the production ones by combining blue to the sidewalls instead of making them all black and white with zebra stripes running all the way done.

That was also a great performance shoe. Skechers don't make good running shoes like that anymore (IMO)

Interesting shoe for sure if only that the colour way matched your t shirt. Never ceases to amaze how many people get sucked into the whole super shoe thing and don’t have the ability to match them. Saw loads of examples on Sunday…… guess we can all dream though so maybe I’m being a little harsh. For me the Speed 3 did the job perfectly on the day. Good video as always. 👍🏻

I noticed the deviate nitro elite has dropped in price since these came out, and I think is now a brilliant deal at about £130. However the one I really want is the deviate nitro 2 to blast about in over the winter 🥶

Unstable? Ahhhh. Im looking for a shoe like Vaporfly, but stable. Now, here it is, another fun and fast, but unstable shoe. But why would I need that when I have Vaporfly already and Puma Nitro Elite which is more stable than Vaporfly and probably more stable than this one too? And Puma Nitro Elite is still not enough stable for me either. Waiting for E. Pro 3 to be delivered to see how is that one working for me. Many thanks for this review Chris, always spot on. Can't work out if they look different in a good way, or just a bit budget, like a running shoe you'd find in the middle of Lidl...think it's the coloured midsole throwing me.

I' ve had this shoe since February and that stuff in the heel is definitely not Nitro Elite. It' s much firmer, I think it' s some EVA.

I'm a bit concerned now after your vlog I really like puma I have the nitro elite and that's a fab shoe is this shoe a gimmick, maybe i should have put the money towards a secondpair of saucony endorphin pro 😁 which I'll be testing puma against. Puma is never available online. I went in Bucharest to their local selling point and the offer was crap. Just old shoes, not all sizes.. Horrible

Biggest issue I have with Pumas ‘non-outlet’ shoes is availability, Ive only seen 2 models of their running shoe line ever in my city. I dont buy shoes online because, well Id like to try them on first.

@@dwb345 supply and demand philosophy. However they didn’t roll out a multimillion dollar campaign like Nike’s Breaking2 project. Therefore the demand isn’t their!! Hell, they don’t even use Molly’s bronze winning Olympic race to their benefit. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a Puma advertisement!!!
