My best friend had a small golf shop in largo, FL, who ended up going to court against John Daily/Hooters back in the mid 2000's. His shop was called Bluecollargolf and he had every thing trade marked in the early 2000's. They (JD)came out with a line of clothing called Bluecollargolf and then tried threatening and bullying him about the name. He won in court and they paid him his court fees and stopped the name by pulling all the clothes out circulation and then rename it(loudmouth). It definitely was a David and Goliath story that the courts upheld the little guy.

@@bradleystuart8608 bud, Jag has it's own line of clothing also - which is why Puma tried to take both Caterpillar and Arctic Cat to task over their respective logos and lost. The funny thing is US teademark law is pretty specific. As long as your design is at least 10% different it’s not a problem! Puma is looking for a cash grab! They’re hoping for an out of court settlement!
