I'm a bit surprised no reference was made to the fact that this was released as part of a "trilogy" of lite, short Knizia games. Early reviews and impressions seemed to put this one as the weakest of the trilogy. For me personally, this is my favorite of the bunch. It's a bit longer and a bit more involved in getting everyone around the table to understand what's happening than the other two, but I think has maybe a bit more legs. The other two are also pretty solid, even liter games ("Hot Lead" and "Soda Smugglers"). I'll be curious if you guys do a review of those how those stack up for you. (For my game groups Hot Lead always seems to be the popular one--and Soda Smugglers is more popular for younger players/rowdier game nights--and yet I quietly continue to try to push Pumafiosi every time.) All in all, fantastic production and game choices from a new publisher who looks to have a bright future ahead of them.

I am in the same boat with my family. Hot Lead and Soda Smugglers make it to the table often, but I have a harder time getting Pumafiosi played. Glad to hear you enjoy it. And I too would love to see dice tower compare them side by side.

This is excellent, can't wait to try the other two in the trilogy (Hot Lead and Soda Smugglers).

Playing this alongside Meowmeow Mia would make for an interesting theme night.

Some resemblance to Voodoo Prince (except in that one you're trying to place second for the whole hand/round) but I think I like the multi-suit structure in that one more. Not sure I like the open feeling the one suit structure bring in (some resemblance to Little Devils here). I tend to like the tighter and more precise trick taking games.

Any thoughts of this game vs 6nimmt? Quite different rules obviously seems like like they would have similar feels: trying to come in at the right place, not too low, not too high.

I hope there will be 100 Felinia callouts in this one.

Rooster Booster is from 2004, by the way.

Appreciate the review! That said, I hope that purple table mat doesn’t get used often. That was brutal on the eyes.
