I think my favorite thing was the live chat spent half the time talking about how they were so excited to see Pumat again and how the cast must be so excited and...Travis and Laura didn't even remember that he was there.

2:33 For those wondering, the big purple phoenix thing is called Desirat and is a lessor idol/divine spirit that was aligned with Asmodeus. They were magically imprisoned under Mount Mentiri at some point during the Calamity, but the thing they're probably most well known for is being one third of a mutual aid pact involving Quajath the rock worm and none other than good ol' Uk'otoa, which was depicted on the mural under the Yuan-ti temple the Mighty Nein explored during Campaign 2

Was Desirat the thing they saw in the Hellcatch so long ago? It was a big purple phoenix I think with like purple flames. They barely were able to hide from it when they were in the airship.

I just noticed... What if, when the disenchantment wave crossed Exandria, some of the Pumats got disspelled and just fell into a pile of snow, mid-work... I wouldn't want to see that as a surviving Pumat D:

Desirat is just upset she didn’t get a catchy song like her cousin Uko’toa.

So… …there was this wizard (some of you may know him)…who was killed in my campaign; and his simulacrum was still around afterwards. Depending on how things “worked out”; he had a shot at becoming “real”. …well, it “kind of” worked; and now this simulacrum made of snow become a fully-fledged version of the original dead wizard. …except, later on; he began to melt. …so he stole the “Ring of Winter”; and is using it to maintain his frosty form until he figures out a way to maintain his humanoid form permanently. He’s an…interesting fellow: I wouldn’t call him a good person, but he isn’t outright evil. More like…unhinged, eccentric, and now very, VERY desperate.

I am so unbelievably tired of C3 leaning on references to other campaigns to maintain itself, and not being brave enough to rely on its own characters and stories. From having the entirety of Vox Machina AND the Mighty Nein step in to help them, to this thing, it's just kinda... done. As much as I like the party, I'll be glad to start a new campaign with a fresh setting.

Eh, I think the nostalgia takes away more than it brings because the callbacks seem to upstage the main characters. Pumat Sol is a lot of fun, though, so I don't mind him as much as Percy, Kelith, and the others.
@ByrronAlHabla2 ай бұрын
Kinda the opposite for me, the whole reason i haven't watch the 3rd campaign yet, is because they keep bringing back people from previous campaigns, and not as cameos but as an important part of the narrative, so i had to watch all of vox machina before i can start this one (i started with the mighty nein) If it were like the mighty nein, a completly separate continent, and because of that a self contained narrative with just a few cameos, i would jump right on it. But instead i need to do "homework". I still have like 5 episodes of vox machina, so im close but burnt out.
