The AVON, is an old steel wreck. Also the area known as White Patch, does not have any morning areas. Kind regards and I have enjoyed watching your videos.

Thanks for the info. I thought the Navionocs map was showing moorings there when I made the video but I just checked the Garmin map and it isn't showing any. Good to know. Thank you.

Avon is barge ship wreck lays across the channel. Lots of rock ballast in its hull so it’s now a permanent reef in the making. It’s nearly rusted away only be 3%. Left good fishing around it

Thank you for that, good to know. I did search the shipwreck database but it didn't turn up any hits for the name.

The boat shown at the beginning was opposite where the now Seaside Museum is located at Bongaree. The Council removed it some years ago due to safety reasons.

Hi just wondering if you could give me a rough area to drop pots around Peel. Leaving from Cleveland.

I can give you a rough area. The South-West rocks reef extends into Horseshoe bay on the Western end. Drop your pots clear of the reef in about 5 to 6 m of water, not too far from the East cardinal. Also around the entrance to the Lazaret, either side of Hanlon light and clear of the reef and the Green zone. You will more than likely see other pots in those areas. West side of Goat if you venture a bit further, or along the Maroom/Amity banks just North of Peel. You might need to hunt the depth a bit, I generally try 3 to 6 m to start.
