Agreed. June told her she needed to cut her hair because she “didn’t look good!” However, Pumpkin is a very special person, and I think she’s beautiful too, long or short hair. June has messed her kids up so much in so many ways beginning with promoting obesity when they were so young. As much of a nightmare she seems to have always been as a mother, she must have done something right because all of her kids seem to have good heart. Pumpkin over everyone else 💖. She’s a diamond. Her husband seems to be a pretty decent guy as well.

And the saddest part was after their separation and seeing each other, Pumpkin couldn't even bring herself to shed a tear, not until she talked about Alana and Ella. That young woman is STRONG, and she's come a VERY long way from who she used to be. Becoming a mother has changed her a lot, and she is a wonderful and responsible young woman. This is how my mother would act every time we went and seen her. She’s not sober here. She may be on a low dose of something, but she’s not sober. I’m proud of Pumpkin. She’s so strong and you can tell that she’s done with all the bs. I see myself in her. I was around the situation they’re going through for the first 13 years of my life. I eventually walked away for good and became the sibling that takes care of everyone. If someone has a problem, I help them out however I can. I’m proud of how Pumpkin is handling this situation and I hope the best for her and her family. Addiction is hard as hell on a family and it can destroy it.

I know this families pain. I'm going through it now. I've had full sole and physical custody of my 2 nephews since they were newborns. My sister has mental illness and has substance abuse issues. My nephews are 9 years old and 5 years old. When their mother comes around they are uncomfortable. I see their anxiety. My sister is 35 years old and has been this way since she was 12. I thank god everyday that those little boys are with me.

Its interesting, looking back at this, how different June's reaction is in this moment, and when she saw both of her daughters with Dr. Ish, compared to after she and Geno went to rehab and how she's acting NOW in the new season. In this moment she seems overjoyed to see Pumpkin. The tears seem real. In a later scene, she WANTED to see Ella and Alana. In the new season, she didn't even come to see her grandson being born. She didn't ask about the girls or how Pumpkin did during her second labor. She LEFT Alana at the airport ALONE so she could go be with her man. She is no longer WANTING to have her family back. Its now just ALL about her and these ugly-ass men.. Its heartbreaking, but I absolutely agree with the decision for Pumpkin and Josh to now have full, permanent custody of Alana. Alana DOES NOT need to be in June's custody.
