Thanks for the video! I can’t wait to try the pumpkin set. My kids and I grow them every year. Most of the time we grow them and throw them out after Halloween. This is a much better use for them

There was a seed farmer outside of Orchard, Colorado who had the government trapper out every summer to take coyotes out of his watermelon patch, of about ten acres. Coyotes would chew a hole in the side of a melon and cleanout the inside of the melon, leaving a hole they could just get their head into. Always got five to seven coyotes a year. They also love cantaloupe and eat them right down to the stem. You are correct that a warm coyote is a lot easier to skin then a cold one.

I recently read that pumpkin seeds are good for clearing out intestinal parasites. That may be why the coyotes are attracted to them.

I do sell my remaining pumpkins to ranchers to help deworm the cattle. I'm sure coyotes sense this as you suggest

You ever have trouble with hide drying too much when opened up early in the day? Do you try and keep the air from blowing on the hide or does it not dry out that much to worry about? Great videos by the way, really have enjoyed them over the years!! I'm a Eastern Ks. trapper. Had to take a 10 year break because of health but thinking I will be able to run a small line next season. I'll be ordering some product. Thanks again for your efforts, Brian

This is kind of an unrelated question to this video, but a rancher has asked me to trap some coyotes in his property. I’m in northern MN, and getting close to summer. What kind of bait would be best, or may I use same kind of bait I use for late fall coyotes. Also, are lures a smart option as well or no? I appreciate any and all help.
@edwardschneider2716 Жыл бұрын
I lean towards gland lure sets right in the trails thus time of year. I don't mind also doing a flat set with a mild call lure.

Where does a guy get that bag you're using for your setting tools ? I saw that smaller bag on your website , how about the other one?
