No specific reason and NH48 was faster even with all the divisions. You have 6 lane roads post Hubli and easier to drive in dark. We reached Chitradurga by 8 PM.

@@offbeattravel.official Day-1( 9th Dec): Rajpipla(Gujarat) to Khed Shivpur (Pune)- 535 kms , started 8:55 am and ended trip at 21:15 Day-2: (10th Dec) Pune to Bangalore- 820 kms . Started 8:40 a.m and reached my home at 12:30 midnight.

Same way when I had left for Gujarat on 15th Nov in my Skoda Rapid diesel I took same route. I left home at 6:40 a.m and reached Pune( near Fergusson college) 21:30 hrs where I halted for night after covering 835 kms. Next day drive to Surat which was 417 kms.

Didn’t travel via Solapur road recent times. We travelled via Satara. Solapur road is better as we learnt from others.

But solapur is longer and may be more tolls. I completed last week toll came around 2600 . The under construction road is till Belgavi / Belgaum after that it butter.

Hi, we will be travelling from pune to Ooty next month.We plan to stop for a day or two in Bangalore.Please suggest areas as soon as we enter Bangalore to avoid city traffic and also convenient and not that far to go towards ooty

Please plan to book accommodation around Neelamangala or Nagasandra. Don’t forget to take e-pass for Ooty as it’s mandatory starting 7th May till end of June.

Great video as always. Helped me plan out my trip from Kormangala, BLR to Pimpri, Pune without any hiccups. Anyways anyone wondering about travelling via Satara, the road is fine. You can drive at 140-150 kmph with ease.

You don't need google map because road is straight till Nelamangala. Anyways, I am planning to do Bangalore-Nagpur-Mumbai-Bangalore via samrudh expressway, but if I think about road conditions and toll charges, I don't get mood to start the engine. I don't understand what Gadkari is doing. When roadwork is going on govt should not collect toll right.

Can't agree more on this. Roads are mostly bad in and out of Maharashtra. Condition is even worse in MP. Toll collection on those stretches are like adding insult to injury.

Try not to take Solapur road. NH48 is in pretty good condition once you enter Karnataka.

Construction was is going on till Belagavi. Expect some delay at places. Belagavi to Bangalore is an easy drive.

Take Bengaluru- Tumkur- Davangare- Hubli- Belgaum- Kolhapur- Satarra-Pune. Tumkur to Hubli is super road with 6 lane. From Hubli you will get a 20km single lane road you have to be careful in that road while overtaking. Once that single lane road over then 4 lane starts and road condition pretty good

Road via Kolhapur(NH48) is in bad condition till Belagavi and is smooth after that all the way till Bangalore. We didn’t take the road via Solapur, not sure about condition.

Not a good idea to let the tank dry as any dust particles from the fuel tank can cause severe damage to the engine. Check your vehicle manual that tell you what is the capacity if it is below zero.ideally should be about 5liters. New viewer to your vlog also from Bangalore rrnagar. Did indore Chennai sometime in,2002. Your trip brought back memories of that trip..safe travels.

Road work is on between Satara and Belagavi. NH48 is still the fastest route though.

Road condition is pathetic as I just did a car trip from Rajpipla in Gujarat to Bangalore and Satara,kolhapur, Belagavi Hubli stretch roadwark is going on with too many diversion and long queue at toll plaza.

Road condition, diversion and traffic is pathetic till you reach Hubli. It's a big pain to drive on that stretch.
