Celtics and Punk had similar journeys to get here. Celtics went to ECF in 2017 lose game 7 and the years since they’re doubted/hated and struggle to win the big one. I've been following the FGC and Punk for awhile now. I'm more of a Tekken guy but I can play SF6 well. I watched Evo finals with 3 other guys in Socal who are a bit more casual to the scene but still in the loop. Literally everyone jumped up and down when Punk won and we exchanged hugs. Definitely one of the best moments in American SF history.

This was my first EVO and nearly everyone I ended up rooting for based on my mains ended up winning extremely competitive matches with Nitro (Jack-o despite my main being Sol I just love watching Jack-O play at top level since I am absolutely lousy with her) , MOV (Chun-li) and Punk (Cammy) and god I can still feel my voice being hoarse from how loudly I shouted my cheers for all of ya. You made this event a lifetime memory for me and motivates me to play more SF6 beyond just Terry Bogard being added in (I was the Terry cosplayer with the sword btw) and in general want to play more fighting games even the best I can hope for is winning a set in pools at most the entire even just made me realize how much I love fighting games at a core level. You earned this one champ.
