Punta Arenas - How well does it spin? Saturday Livestream

On a whim, I was looking for different wools to buy and spotted this 'merino' look alike and made a mental note to grab some. I finally did, wasted no time dyeing some of it, and I couldn't wait to start spinning it. Oh boy, it's so wonderful to spin and it makes such a great yarn! i was googled punta arenas wool and it suggested your video because i wanted to see how soft it was before buying it from a seller compared to merino and long story short i bought the last 3 braids from her and cant wait to dye and spin them 😀

Yeah, they're really nice. They take dyes well so you can get really saturated colours. 😊

I missed the live . I cant wait to see what you do with the silk that decided to go wild on you. Phoenix looks like it would long draw like no other, straight from the top. Which is not a proper long draw at all. In a single it still says fiery bird of resurrection.

You read my mind. My next Fiber Talk episode will talk about rolags made from combed top and longdraw spinning 🤯 It'll be a topic for sure! I'm convinced that Punta arenas wool will be an excellent alternative to merino, and it would definitely be nice to spin ling draw 😊

What a good mix...is it piebald too? I can't get Finn fleeces in the UK. When I had some, I loved it
