The slightly-odd time signature of the verses make it so there are pretty much no breaks between lines and that just adds this amazing energy to the song, especially when yelling out the lyrics.

What a glorious visual explosion. I love a good story. You make me miss my cousin. He was like my brother since I had no siblings for 6 years. One time at dusk we ran away to the neighbor's yard, which connected to the woods, where the grass was overgrown and brown and there was a beaten down rusty old car. It felt like we went to another world. Our family eventually separated us. We were too great together.
