I’m using your free patterns to get used to the cutting/sewing process (even though the materials I can get are not the best (yet), it seems like I might have to get good puppet material from America when I get better) then I will build my own design. I am finding that I enjoy the building, and learning from the mistakes following a pattern. The following of the videos that go with the pattern helps with ‘knowing’ how it is supposed to look like. Rather than feeling like I am useless and giving up. The kidding show is surreal at the same time as being normal and the puppets have a familiar feeling to them, love these insights.

As far as I know, the only documented use of the term "Henson stitch" is an offhand remark by Don Sahlin in "The Muppets on Puppets." It appears that it was just Don's nickname for Jim's sewing abilities. It seems that it wasn't really a term that stuck around at the workshop of anything. I think a lot of Muppet fans watched that 1968 video and the term just started becoming famous among fans.

Just watched the first episode there. Gosh I didn't realise how dark the series is and how much people can relate.
