The writing, visuals & interactions are bad. Isn't this one where the weird female goose appeared. You just have nostalgia sickness. That's it & a kid doesn't know animation quality. The animation budget was cut & it shows. Balto who embraced his wolf heritage in the first one is gone & he is at square one. Jenna was put to the side when she was a more active character in the first one, etc. The sequels are just bad money grabs.

I never thought of that before! It also explains Jenna's casual take on it because it's so ingrained in both humans AND domestic dogs. Add in the fact that Balto has lived apart from humans his entire life and Boris continued to hang around him even after he was fully grown and capable of caring for himself. It's the same thing in a wolf pack, which consists of the alpha pair, their adult children, and their pups. It's even the same with lionesses; a single pride can have multiple generations of a family of lionesses, the only thing changing being the dominant male.

I've stopped basing my opinions off of movie critics entirely As someone who's seen all 3 Balto movies, I can confidently say that honestly aren't that great. The animation is terrible (especially the 2nd movie), the stories are either godawful or predictable and safe

Balto. What wrong with being part wolf? Isn't that the lesson you learned in the last film. Shouldn't you teach that lesson to your children. That it is badass to be part wolf. Your kids who are going to be adopted, are going to be far more aggressive, faster, stronger, bigger, sturdier, and louder (from all the howling) than the average husky. Even if they do not look like wolves or like Aleu. Your kids are going to be badass. Plus you were separated from your mother when you were a pup, and partially grew up in a pack, so that pretty much explains why you cant let them go. Packs never leave their pups (Unless under extreme circumstances until they are), or kick them out for being an asshole.

I love how much Balto cares about his children and scared about letting them go. Also, this scene made me fall in love with Aleu as a pup. She is so cute and beautiful that if it were me, I would adopt her in a heartbeat. I love that brown coat and just how brave and stubborn she is. That shows commitment and loyalty. I would also like to point out that Kodi and the other pups carry just as much wolf DNA as Aleu, but they just look like Huskies. What I would’ve liked to have seen is a sequel where Aleu and Kodi reunite and go on an adventure together with Balto. Aleu learned to accept herself as a wolf, and thanks to Balto 3, Kodi learned to accept his father not as a hero, but just as his father. And it would’ve been great to see Kodi accept himself as a wolf just like Aleu. I knew Kodi and Aleu were close as pups, seeing as how it was Kodi who was the last pup to be adopted and he waved goodbye to Aleu. So, it would’ve just been nice to see more depth with them.

Yes, exactly. There is no real contradiction with the first film. At start, Balto accepts a part of him. And he becomes a hero, who's aclamed. But, there are repercutions which are interesting. A certain type of dogs continues, neverthless, to hurt him very much. It is clairly explained. And Balto must to distance himself. There is not easy. And he's worry about his daughter. There is a lot of confusion in him, and he must relearn through Aleu. This movie shows how Balto manages his position of wolf-dog after his moral success in the first episode... And all difficulties that this entails. Balto was a quiet incomplete, and The Wolf Quest shows to us that after the first accomplishment of our hero, there is not perfect. And Balto must fight again. Finally he becomes older and no longer has a complex at all in this point of vue. All that remained was for him to reconcile his notoriety and his paternal role with his son. In a way, Aleu indirectly entrusted him with this mission, when the direct link between Balto II and Balto III is established. There is a constant link throughout the trilogy, which is a story very romanced and free, whose background reference is Nome and Balto the huski of 1925. But there is not an historic story 😉

Aleu is genetically more dog than Baltimore. Her siblings are just as wolf as she is. Even though they may look more like a Husky, doesn’t mean that the wolf isn’t in their DNA, which the humans didn’t seem to get that when they adopted her brothers and sisters. Also with Balto being the dad and him saving Nome from the diphtheria epidemic, you’d think people would be more accepting of wolfdogs and adopting Aleu, especially since she’s related to him and humans finally accepted Balto.

Balto: Being different is painful. Nobody knows that better than me. To be honest, I know how Balto feels about that. Not sure if it’s the same thing but in high school, some boys in a couple of my classes always picked on me. They treated me like I’m just a mistake and that I wasn’t even supposed to exist, treating it like some sick game, doing anything to win. And it always made me so angry. No matter how many times I’ve told them to just leave me alone, they just kept going at it. They always made me feel like I never really belonged. So I know what it’s like to be treated different.

Poor Balto is being forced to essentially give up his 'pack'. As a wolf, the pack is the alpha's children. It's no wonder he had a hard time letting go. If he looked at himself and respected the wolf side of him, he would have understood part of the reason why he couldn't let go as easily. Same thing with Steele in the first film. He's supposedly a pure Alaskan Malamute, however he has blue eyes, which Malamutes do not have.

But its true about one half wolf half dog breeds are harder to adopt because humans are afraid of the wolf side even if they are quarter wolf people only see the untamed side plus in some states its illegal to have one cause they consider them wild animals

I find it funny how in the first movie, Boris the Goose is voiced by Eddie Valiant (Rest in Peace Bob Hoskins) while in the sequels, he's voiced by Roger Rabbit.

Anyone said Aleu cannot be the only one look like a wolf, some year ago i have a yorkshire cross american cocker and she have 5 pups with a dashund x chihuahua the puppies have many aspect from their ancestor breed but the only male in the litter just look like a cocker spaniel he dosen't have any other breed aspect someone who dosen't know his mix said he a beautiful cocker spaniel

I had a shepherd/lab mix when I was younger. The funny thing is her brothers all looked like their mom (a light brown lab) while she and her sisters all looked like their dad (a dark German shepherd)
